Informative!
Tech was polite & professional, sadly he was not able to identify cause of problem and because of this, unable to repair problem. (I cannot submit this review unless I write 10 words or moreā¦something is wrong with this page).
Robert S,
Azusa, CAIncomplete work and high prices
1. Part cost extremely high. 2. Labor cost for 1 - 2 hours is extremely high. 3. Technician ordered overpriced thermostat with outdoor sensor, but did not install the outdoor sensor. Now we have an unused ordered part. 4. We waited all day and Sears missed the first install appointment. 5. Had an extremely hard time trying to phone contact Sears to reschedule after Sears missed the appointment. 6. We have been customers for over 30 yrs. and would highly recommend your service. At this point I would inform all of this very bad service. Service order#: 20336770 Order#: 000838010336770 Date of service: 6/24/2024
Karen T,
Hackettstown, NJLeft Hanging
We wanted our AC units and the refrigerator to be checked for maintenance. He didn't check the refrigerator and at this point, there doesn't seem to be any plans to do this. We were left hanging about this. The AC check he did do seemed to be satisfactory.
Kenneth B,
St Petersburg, FLGood work
Poor attitude. He fixed the issue while diagnosing, then wanted me to pay ~$400 for the repair without running that by me for approval first. Then got upset with me when I called that out. Luckily his supervisor was reasonable.
Dorothy M,
Arlington, TXFurnace repair
Gilbert was pleasant. I feel he did fix the furnace but he didn't elaborate on what he really did. He wasn't here until 4:45 in the afternoon. I don't know why your time span is an eight hour window when it used to be a four hour window. It is very inconvenient to have to sit and wait all day and not Have any indication as to when the repair tech will arrive.

This was the worst experience we've had with Sears Home Services. Appointments made no one comes or calls. Unable to speak to anyone regarding status of the job. Three weeks of uncompleted work. Technician unable to diagnose and repair furnace. Furnace 37 years old and perhaps unsafe from interior deterioration. Very displeased with service or effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
Leonard Cooper,
Frankfort, ILSears Home Services
The technician arrived and immediately began discussing what the customer had to pay and how much it would be if I had written a bad check etc; I do fully understand that the services rendered must be paid for... However, at least start on the job first. It is NOT my intention to be difficult, but please š know that when people need something taken care of they are not really excited about making a claim and so forth. I hope that [IF] I have to deal with this company that the experience is much better. Thank you Robert LeBeauf
Robert L,
Slidell, LAProblem not diagnosed
First off all, I don't have any problems with the technician per say. Omar was punctual and personable. Unfortunately the problem I am having is intermittent (The heater will occasionally not kick back on when the temperature drops too low - usually once every day or two) and it wasn't acting up while Omar was here. He looked things over but wasn't able to find a cause. This means I'll likely have to call someone else out (and make sure I can be home for it) after some more documentation.
RH,
Clovis, CAHvac check , possible leak
Amir listened to what I saw and he saw it as well said it was normal . Did not check any thing just in case . Then left total time 10 including his paper work. I am glad it is nothing bad.
