AC technician
So the technician didn't solve the problem, he is asking to get an electrician to replace a switch , what I thought was Sears warranty should be able to do the step by step process in getting the job done , that's what I pay service every month , they should be able to guide us accordingly.

I asked the tech how things were going and he claimed I was being like a baby asking him repeatedly about the work. He needs to be more courteous when i am paying for his services. It was the second checkin I did, the first when he just arrived and I showed him the utility roomand the second after he had a good 15 min to check inside the furnace.

He was very nice and seemed to know how to handle a package unit heat pump. Rating is not about him, he was a 5. My concern is that this was home warranty tech and our personal tech we hired found completely different results. Personal tech we hired was concerned about the unit and is end of life and inefficient (14 year old unit) and had multiple little concerns but only is a bandage. Sean did not find the same findings and said all is good. Be the judge, personal tech, sell a new unit, warranty tech, all is fine. I guess I just need to pay attention for any more gremlins in the running.

The intial interaction with my assigned technician Anthony was fine. He was respectful and straightforward and even put on slips to ensure he didn't track dirt in the house which I appreciate. He identified issue and said he needed to go buy the part and would return in a couple hours. When he returned, he went to install the part but when he finished, his dimeanor was very rude. He had told me that the issue was fixed and that he was leaving, but I told him I still didn't feel any heat nor did I hear it come on. He kept insisting that he was confident in the job he did and that it was finished and that he was leaving. He said that if I'm still having issues then there's another problem and that I would have to submit another work order (which I didn't understand given he is the technician and was there). He then rudely asked me to come out back where he was working and feel that the pipe on the furnace was hot signifying that the heat was working. I then told him I understand that but I'm still not feeling any heat come on in the house. Then he said blessing in Jesus and left. Although the heat did eventually come on, I did not appreciate his tone and his willingness to leave without thoroughly ensuring everything was working properly inside and outside the house. I'm not sure if he was in a hurry to get somewhere else or not but it definitely showed. Although the job is done, how he communicated was very important to me and I did not feel respected as a customer during the later half of his visit. Not to mention, I got an email saying I signed something I never signed with a picture of a signature that's not mine which I believe is illegal…

Aaron worked fast and fixed the issue but unfortunately came at 5:05pm when my window was 8-5pm. Sears should do better to provide a shorter window and not require customers to stay home all day for a five minute job. If nothing else repairmen should arrive before not after the end of a long window.
Toya C,
Washington, DCOtis seems competent but the system still isn't working pr.
System not fixed When outside temperature above 80 degrees, system won't cool below 75-76 even with thermostat set at 68. When outside temperature is below set point of thermostat it will cool to the set point but the system will not turn off. When last checked it continued running for over three hours, after the set point had been reached, until I turned it off. Furthermore, it is making a loud grinding noise that is gradually getting worse. We have two AC systems and the other is virtually silent by comparison. This is getting old. You've tried twice to fix it, have charged us over $600, and it still is not working properly.

Darrell S,
Birmingham, ALHe was nice!
He seem to know what he was doing, but when done there was a burning smell & didn't seem to know why or really care! He at least showed up to fix it, not like the guy that was supposed to do the job & totally never showed twice without reason or contacting us !
