Unresolved problem
Issue: intermittent cooling - A/C stops cooling every 4th or 5th day. Interest: Identify why the unit cools upstairs for a few days and then stops cooling. - Tech Checked outside unit; fuse, and power continuity - used his temp gun to argue that the unit was working. This was not why we called him out. We know as of today the unit is cooling. We needed to know why every 4-5 days the unit stopped cooling. - Tech did not check upstairs unit in the attic. Which was where the issue started originally and where parts were recently replaced. - Tech's position is that everything was working. But never addressed the intermittent issue. I expected the tech to check all systems and he did not. He did voltage checks on the outside unit - all voltages were normal. Preceded to explain how small wires can become hot and cause the unit to not cool. My question to him was to show me how you came to this conclusion after getting satisfactory checks outside. Complaint: The tech had no intentions of truly looking at our issue. When he called my wife to move the appointment from 1:00pm to 10:00am today, he attempted to argue that the problem was fixed and we didn't have an issue. This call and perspective was prior to the house call. I can assure you we do not have a reason to go through this repeatedly. Please do not send this individual to our residence ever again. Hands down he's the worse tech I've ever met. His trouble shooting method is rooted in opinions without doing physical checks across each unit of interest.

Repair tankless water tank
Very unprofessional service. Better yet no service at all. Appointment was made. The repairman never called, never showed up. The only thing he did was send a receipt stating work was done, but actually wasn't. What am I paying for?

bad experience all around
It started when my appointment was scheduled the morning of the appointment I received a confirmation. 90 minutes later my appointment was rescheduled for 2 weeks later. the day of the rescheduled appointment when I received confirmation the tracking showed 10:08 at 11:30 I called scheduling a few minutes later the tracking was updated for 1:10 around 1:00 it was pushed to 2:02 at 1:45 it was pushed to 3:00 he finally showed up about 3:45. He spent less than 30min for 3 appliances. when I asked questions he said everything was working fine (which was not true) he then walked away while I was still trying to ask additional questions he seemed in too much of a hurry to talk to me and really address my concerns. Completely horrible experience.

Sears Sent Wrong Technician
On Friday, May 17, the Sears' phone representative located in China, scheduled an incorrect Sears Technician to take care of my Sears Protect HVAC free benefit for a "cooling tune-up maintenance". On Monday, May 20th, two different Sears' technicians called on the phone. Neither one of them came to the house to provide the HVAC "cooling tune-up maintenance". Their job was to only repair window air conditioners. Ward, the second technician, told me he had taken care of the situation and that the "repair department" would be calling me later that day (or the next day) to reschedule the correct technician. I never received a call either day! So around 4pm on May 21st I called the Sears Protect Warranty people and the following occurred: It took me 2 hours (with 5 department people "transfers" --- 4 of them located in South East Asia) on Tuesday, May 21st to try to correct the situation. I WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL!!! I then called the Sears Protect Agreement Benefit Department again the morning of Wednesday, May 22nd (only had to talk to 2 different people) to finally (HOPEFULLY) correct the situation.

Furnace/Thermostat
The technician came out and fixed my furnace yes he got my heat to work but he programmed my thermostat he programmed it to On Auto and Circulate meaning my thermostat never cuts off. Due to this my bill is now extremely high and I now have to pay for someone to com out again to fix the problem. Which is extremely unfair to me

James was great
The reason for one stars is that the service department is a fraud. I am not talking about James. I am talking about Sears in general. I have a master agreement protection plan. My hot water heater broke. It was deemed on repairable. I needed to purchase one with my own money from my plumber. I was told that I would get a check from Sears. It has been five weeks I have gotten nothing but a runaround. The last gentleman I spoke to actually told me I will probably not be getting a check and I should hire a lawyer. Can you imagine???

Job NOT done
On March 15, Don came to put in the replacement part for our heater. It was the wrong part, but another technician brought the correct part after about 30 minutes. Don worked on our unit, trying everything he could but was unable to get the heater to work. The power would come on, but there was no ignition or blowers engagement. Don told us that he would update his mentor and the warranty company with the result that he COULD NOT REPAIR the heater. We have waited patiently until today, almost 2 WEEKS for an update and when I called your company and then the warranty company, I was told the job had been closed. How can you close a job that was not finished?! Don told us that if it were Allbritten or another company, we would be replacing the unit at this point, but because of the warranty, we had to go through channels. So we waited, only to find out that YOU, the service provider, had CLOSED our job! This is absolutely unbelievable and unprofessional! We've been without heat for a month, and now have to wait another 12 days for someone to come out on a recall. We pay our warranty fee every month and expect, and usually receive, far better service. I would have given Don as many stars as possible because he was very clear and professional and we thought he was thorough; now, though, I have no idea what is going on!

Poor communication.
It took thirty minutes to be connected to the right representative handling an existing claim. There voices were very inaudible at times during the phone calls.
