Furnace repair

Sears have sent six service techs to my residence. Including the tech today. All techs are A/C specialists. None can fix my furnace. I was promised that today tech was a furnace specialist. An furnace specialist is needed, not a A/C tech. This has been happening since June of this year. Please communicate i need a furnace specialist. This substandard professionalism is unacceptable. Vent issue

Not pleased. Wanted a hole and loose fitting vent pipe repaired. He at one point said there wasn't oil. Tank was just filled. Said there had to be a thermostat, i said no. He walked the house and found none. Said an oil boiler didn't produce carbon monoxide so the hole wasn't a problem but a qiuck google search says otherwise. I followed the electrical line and found a box. Then he said that was the on/off but before that he was telling me the unit was broken. The receipt email said its a gas unit, its an oil boiler. I cannot feel safe running this unit with the faulty vent. As such i feel the need to find someone else to come and service this issue and soon since cold weather will be here soon. Not happy. Not confident he knew what he was doing.

Worst service. Delayed by 2 hours.

Worst service. He was late by 2 hours. My appointment was 8 am 12 pm. He came after 2 pm to my house. He did not call me on the phone after he came. We were late by 2-4 min. By that time he closed the appointment as completed. This is worst appointment and technician we had this time. Please kindly schedule another appointment with another person. So whose fault it is when u don't show up between 8 - 12 pm. ?

Too Fast and Not The

The technician came and within 8-10 minutes had left. All he did was remove the main plate of the furnace looked at it for just a minute or two, and said he didn't see anything wrong. Did not dig in to truly diagnose/evaluate. We even attempted to provide the prior inspection report for reference that prompted the call, but he dismissed it. He even said he would get a second opinion but then closed our service request out saying he found no signs of issues. Would not recommend to anyone else.

missed the CO leak which was main issue for the service call

he missed the CO leak which will most likely cause for unit replacement- and had 2 visits and costed me two days at work and now I need to try and re-schedule through home warranty

Sears Warranty Tecnician Never Showed Up

If you wish to read the blogs as well as benefit from my experience, I suggest that you avoid Sears Master Protection Warranty Services entirely and instead, seek out a local repair service with an actual address, rather than today's version of Sears Master Protection Warranty Service, whose techs work out of their homes and often never make the appointments which you have been assigned by Sear's very, very, off-shore customer service.

Called a cancelled appt.

Technician called and said his truck broke down and he would not make it. Only asked me to check fuse box and make sure fuse had not been tripped, which it hadn't. After that he told my wife that Sears does not work on our brand of furnace.
