Did not explain enough
Although he did come and do his check ups, he did not explain what he was doing nor if what he was checking was okay or not. We like for people that come and do maintenance on our appliances to give us feedback and also clean our appliances. Our usual technician takes the time to clean and give maintenance to our appliances while at the same time tell us what he is doing and telling us if we can do something better.

when insured with gas company a more through inspection was done,,,for example, chimney waS Checked for blockage that could cause carbon monoxide. was told that the furnace would not come on if there was a blockage in the exhaust air flow ,this left me feeling a little insecure. In other words, if the furnace comes on everything is ok?

Furnace blower
Furnace blower will not shut off. Technician left with out repairing and had to reassign claim.

Hot water heater inspection.
The serviceman did his work very well and came on time. Your "Sears" business is in very bad condition. The replacement refrigerator you delivered last October is very BAD quality and your Customer Service was equally as bad.

Sears Technician
Technician was rude and this behavior was witnessed by a guest. Aggressive in his demeanor and walked away from customer while trying to speak to him to ask questions about the repair! So sad a little courteous goes a long way.

AC maintenance
I had originally made an appointment, I asked the person on the phone to please be sure, and have them send to people to pull out this air conditioner. when the service technician first came, he informed me " we don't do that anymore. It's incumbent upon the customer to give us access to the unit." I informed him of my original request. I then offered to have my neighbors pull it out for him. He made a couple phone calls and said I have to bring in an air conditioning specialist. I'm not a AC guy I'm really a refrigerator guy. One week later, two technicians showed up. They pulled out the one in conditioner, but made quite a mess in doing so. They left black marks on my wall from their hands. The Kenmore air conditioner still makes a lot of noise. So I'm not too happy with the service I received.

Poor customer service
After having waited over a month to get my air conditioner fixed, the technician shows up to my home. He did not call 30 minutes prior as I'd requested so that I would be home when he arrived. He told me that I was his first stop at 1030 am (my service window was 0800-1700), and that he doesn't call ahead for his first stop. I informed him that I could be there in 25 minutes. He told me that he couldn't wait that long...15 minutes was all he could wait. I asked did he have the part and he said yes. I told him that my unit needed to be fixed today. He'd already stood me on the 25th of September...didn't show nor call. I had to make several phone calls to Sears Home Services which resulted in hours wasted because they had no knowledge as to what was going on with my service appointment. After a week of calls, I found the number for the Sears Home Warranty corporate office , and only then did this matter get escalated and an appointment was set for two days later. I explain this to the technician, again, he emphasized that he could only wait 15 minutes or put in a call to reschedule. I told him I'd call him back. I was able to have someone get there to give him access to the unit. It was fixed and seems to be working fine. This is the reason for two stars. He was very insensitive and inconsiderate, and didn't even provide an explanation as to why he didn't show up on Sep 25th.

Furnace Preventative Maintenance - Dissatisfied
Hello, We were dissatisfied with our recent Preventative Maintenance appointment. The technician indicated we had several components on our furnace that needed replacing. He attempted to turn on a valve then was unable to fully turn it off. He connected a hose to the valve and asked for a pale to catch the water. We are left to have a plumber come in to help us and were offered no options within the Sears Repair Services organization.

Furnace Check
Technician spent less than 20 minutes at my house. Was told that my ducts were dirty because my charcoal filter was black and that I had a rodent infestation from a dead insect in the corner of my HVAC system.
