The service of the technicians is professional, and very goo
The service of the technicians is professional, and very good service, but they are not honest when reporting to the Sears company. Sometimes they do not want to report that the equipment cannot be repaired, for fear of losing their job.
Anibal A,
Deltona, FLWhy
I don't want to give the wrong rating, but he came in and took one look at the boiler, and told me he can't work on it. He took a photo of the unit and the model number. I provided this information to Sears for the appointment, so why couldn't someone determine if he could work on this unit from your office or his office? unless his job is to verify what I have in my home. So if my expectations were he was coming to fix the unit then IM very disappointed. But like I was saying if he was coming to confirm the unit then my expectations are something different. but if your asking me if John had good customer service skills then he was perfect.

There was no work done my furnace. Sears doesn't do furnace in ceilings.
Vera W,
Ontario, CAWaste of time
I never got notified when he was on his way. Every time I checked email it kept giving me new estimated arrival, which got later and later (he did come int the time allotted. He was in my house such a short amount of time that he didn't shut his truck engine off THIS WAS SUPISSED TO BE A MAINTENANCE CALL NOT A CALL TO SEE IF MY HEATER WAS WORKING. WASTE OF TIME There was nothing wrong with technician himself

Nicholas is experienced, professional and knowledgeable. I wish all Sears technicians were like him.
Mrs. John P,
Westerville, OHrepair of states water heater
Tim seams to be able to do the job but apparently does not get the cooperation or support of senior management to (1)obtain the parts that the States Water Heater needed, (2) to tell him what is needed next. Tim has been at my residence at least 5 times, 3 different part orders delivered and is still not fixed correctly. Tim has been able by pass the pressure switch needed in order for me to have hot water at my house. I have been waiting to get this fixed since at least April 27, 2023
George B,
Saint Louis, MOHai did fine, but I dispise the overall business model
Hamayoon did a good job and helped me with what I needed. I have no issues with the services he provided. The only thing that I was expecting to occur as part of the water heater maintenance that didn't was for the hot water heater to be fully flushed and cycled. It's on me that I didn't clarify that expectation beforehand. I do have a problem with Sears Home Services' business model. The quoted costs were not inclusive of all the services that were provided such that I felt like I was being nickeled-and-dimed. Furthermore, the pushiness to buy into the home warranty that I stated repeatedly that I did not want on the phone and while the technitians were at my home was extremely frustrating. Had I realized the whole experience would be like this, I'd have gone with another company instead.
Brianne F,
Alexandria, VASears does not have adequate support
My review is on the entire customer support experience. Not specifically the tech who is only hired to do repair. Shane S worked on the unit sent reports, made multiple calls to senior tech advisors who sent other reports. He was in the house from 2:30- 5:45pm. I was told they could not just order a replacement, they had to exhaust all measures of repair and then at that time order parts. Stated that there are many things wrong and multiple parts had to be ordered. He did tell me that after it goes to that department it could take anywhere from 5-12 days. IF none of those are available then it will have to be sent to another department to work on a replacement; I wanted them to know that my AC started having problems on 07/09/2023. He let me know there is not any record that Best Deal AC came to my home on 07/27/2023. NOW I would like to state that the third-party contractor as well as the Sears technician did their jobs and both stayed to attempt to take care of the issue. Due to cost I guess you have to go through a check and balance routine to prove that the AC is not working and that is why they had to send the Sears contractor and not take the word or recommendations of the third-party contractor. However, they both came up with the same results. So, this is where we are at this point. As of Wednesday 08/09/2023, it will be exactly a month that I have been without a working AC. They could not give me any type of estimate of WHEN a replacement would occur. I am over 60 years old with health challenges and it is the hottest month of the year. I live in Dallas TX and we are under an excessive heat warning. There is a very good possibility I will not have working AC in my house for over a month or so. We have experienced over 10 consecutive days of dangerously hot three-digit heat in TX (heat advisory) and this is definitely a health hazard.

It was all wrong. He did not have the part to make the repair. Also he doesn't fix what was needed. He was very nice and polite but couldn't make the repair

I would have given him 4 stars, however, he parked on the street partially blocking my neighbor's drive. When I asked him to move forward, he refused. This is a sign of poor customer service to me. Although his work was good.
