Could have done better
Nick was polite, but did not correctly find and fix the problem. First, he arrived well past the arrival estimate provided by SHS on the day of the appointment. "We will inform you if your technician is running late," was a promise made but not fulfilled. (BTW 8:00am to 5:00pm as a general service appointment window is not helpful.) No contact info was provided that allowed us to speak with a human for any info or updates once the 2:07pm arrival estimate had been exceeded by more than an hour. More importantly, Nick failed to identify that the furnace was not holding a flame. Promptly after he left, claiming that the furnace was in working order, the issue persisted. The furnace ignites a flame which immediately extinguishes. As a result, the furnace ran non-stop for the next 12 hours without holding a flame long enough to heat the house. I could not in good faith recommend this service provider to anyone else.

They came out to look at my AC becuase it keeps freezing up. Dontee was very professsional and personable. He several checks on the system and seemded to know what he was doing. He took his time and talked to me about the problems we were having. After all the checks he was unable to diagnose the problem and the system still freezes up.

This 86 year old long time Sears customer has to schedule a local plumber to provide and install a replacement water heater. Then I have to deal with robots in the hope of being reimbursed by my agreement. No humans, only robots at Sears.

Ventura, CAUnit Making a lot of noise
After inspecting the unit the unit, I noticed that the unit is making a load vibrating noise….though it is cooling, I'm afraid that the repair may not last very long. Can Barry come back out and check the unit?

Bennett, CODual system review
Mohammed is not trained on a dual system so he could not find a problem or repair the system. There were red lights but he was not familiar with the dual system. He said the house was cold because the weather outside is very cold. He was very kind but the system worked fine other years when it was just as cold.

The technician was very nice he told me what I need to do in the steps to resolve my issue.
Maxine G,
Atlanta, GAIssue not fully resolved
I would first like to say that this review is not entirely for the technician but for Sears Home Service and customer service. Our technician did what he said he would do and that was great, but our issue was not fully resolved. Upon initial diagnostic for the noisy furnace (Wednesday 1/29), technician ordered a part to be replaced. The needed part was delivered on Friday 1/30 and that night, the furnace started blowing cold air and could not be used at all. I reached out to customer service multiple times to explain that we no longer had any working heat, that the part needed had come in, and that something else could be wrong. They still said the first available service appointment was Wednesday 2/12. After being without heat for 12 days, the tech came and replaced said part which did stop the loud sound. However, I feel like they left too soon before ensuring that all things were in complete working order. While the noise from the furnace is gone, we are still experiencing cool air coming in from most of the vents (we had 2 vents that I felt heat come from but this did not last). I do not believe that Sears Home Services/Customer Service communicated effectively with the technician as Elbert did as he originally planned but seemed totally unaware of the other issue. Again, I would say that the blame for this lack of resolving the issue completely comes from Customer Service and I still cannot reach a real person to discuss this with through the provided contact number.
