Furnace repair
He wasn't very cordial, rude and slamed the door when he left. Was very precise and short with responses when my son asked what he was doing.
Jan M,
Pickerington, OHProfessional & On Time, but…
1 week ago, the technician diagnosed that my furnace needed a part replaced. It took him 1 week to order a part that was available online and in stores. Then told me I had an additional charge for him to bring me the part - after having already paid the $100 service charge. 3 stars for being on time and fixing the issue. -2 stars for not working through the home warranty and shifting the burden on the customer.
Alejando S,
Washington, DCWhy did you leave?
While he was a nice guy, I really wasn't impressed. Didn't seem to have any confidence. The last thing I knew was that it needed a new gas valve and he was trying to locate the part. I was in the kitchen cleaning the filters and went to ask him a question and he was gone. Didn't say he was leaving. I got no closure for the visit. I had no idea of the outcome until I got an email from Choice Warranty saying that the unit needs to be replaced. Seems a bit unprofessional to me that a service technician would not close out the visit and just walk out the door without letting anyone know he was leaving.

He said it was an electrical surge which is not right we have not had any bad weather at all I think he just didn't know what else to say .because he couldn't find out what cause the fuse to blow . I am very disappointed in choice home warranty. Better business needs to know about this situation. The supervisor was very rude .

Our complaint was that the air generated was not warm, aux heat was not warm at all. Technician didn't make any repairs. A waist of money. Need a different source

It took too long to fix from the diagnostic time. Given the cold weather and the risk for the pipes to freeze. The guy took almost 2hrs after the call to arrive too. Working from home I had to juggle to fi d a quite place for my meetings.
Chrispina K,
Columbus, OHHeater repair
It took entirely too long to repair the heater for my tenants. Claim was assigned to Sears on 11/24. Appointment was set for 11/28. Reschedule for 12/1, gas valve was diagnosed and sent for repair instead of replacement with a new one. Appointment reset for 12/4 repairman showed up with no valve and rescheduled to 12/11. Appointment was moved up to 12/10 and finally fixed on that day. Two weeks without heat in the winter is an excessive time frame. 😞

Fresno, CADidn't fix it
Your tech was great but Sear's service sucks. My furnace is older and the tag that has the model # On it was not there. He said Sears will not let them work on anything if the model number is not shown??? He knew what was wrong and could fix it but because of your stupid rules I still have no heat and a family is out of their home during the holidays until I can find another repairman to fix it!!!

Was not as knowledgeable enough about the operation of this unit making troubleshooting the issue difficult. Courteous through out the process.

Leesburg, FLHVAC work by Vincent
The work was done but hesitantly. On the first visit, when we saw the water leak, Vincent said he'd wished someone else woulda been called for this because it involved a new panel, diffuser? and gaskets. I found that odd! Moving forward 11 days/today, Vincent came with all the parts and when I told him it hadn't leaked since he left and put everything back together on 11/7/25, he said well then its fixed, we dont have to put on the new parts. I said yes we do, I paid for this. He said he has seen too many times where putting the new parts on causes more problems. I said lets look at it to see if water is on the inside and it was!!! So he replaced all new parts and I signed and he left. Vincent seemed to be agitated both times he was here and If anything goes wrong again, I will request he not be the serviceman!
