My window on Thursday 7/3/25 was between 1pm & 5pm. I received an email with an ETA of arrival between 1:24pm & 2:32pm stating technician was 1 stop away. After waiting I called service number at 3:45 and received AI customer service which was NOT helpful at all. AT 6pm I determined no one was showing. At 6:11pm Technician called and said he was 20 minutes away. After arriving, technician checked thermostat/breaker panel and took pic of AC Label. He looked at furnace and stated it was Old Low Profile Burner. The only tool he used was his cell phone. He determined that both AC & Furnace should be replaced. Following day AC was working. This was a wasted service call and I'll contact another company for a real diagnosis!

Sears did not fix the problem 99 degrees in my home,

After 1 week wait for appt Sears tech did not fix the issue, I had to request Recall/return wait days and now they are a No Show.

Erek T. never showed up. I waited all day for him to come, and he never did. He forged my signature on the receipt. There was no service provided!

Do NOT Use Sears Home Service

If I could given them a zero I would. My home warranty company sent Sears out to repair my AC unit. I would have never chosen them personally, but I'm at the mercy of the warranty company. The technician was very abrasive about the deductible payment prior to having any words with me about the issue. No problem. I paid the deductible over the phone as I wasn't at the location. About 30 minutes later I received a call from the tenant stating the technician Edwin C is telling her he can't discuss what's wrong with the unit until she signs a document. She asked what is the document for and he said I can't tell you what's wrong unless you sign it. I'm on speakerphone asking him what's wrong with the unit and again he's adamant that he can't discuss the issue unless his document is signed, after telling me earlier that the deductible was the trigger to me finding out what's wrong with the unit. The tenant also stated he rudely tried to walk in the house without knocking. She says he was so rude she actually locked the door while he was outside so she could monitor when he was back in the house around her children She says he made her very uncomfortable. In summary, he ended up leaving without telling us the issue with the AC unit. I've never had a repair where we pay the deductible and have to sign something before we hear the issue. I've had to sign if we agree to do the repairs or decide not to do the repair. Still have no idea what he wanted us to sign. Do better Sears Appliance Repair. Again, there is no process for reporting these technicians. There is no way to reach a local person at this company - all automated phone tree. The technicians behave as if they know this as well. I may switch warranty company's too. They keep sending out Sears and we keep being frustrated.

Horrible, unprofessional and incompetent.

The technician failed to address and fix the issue the first time he was sent to the residence. When he was sent again I tried to question what exactly he thought he fixed previously and why he didn't address the main concern and request. Instead of answering a simple question he threw a tantrum and left without addressing or fixing anything again.

Called the service to fix the leak on the drain pipe from the furnace. The technician did the repair and left but the issue is not fixed.

It appears that Michael checked one of our good units and not the main unit for which we complained from which the gas is leaking and the coil is cracked, and it may stop working any time. We found this discrepancy only when we received your email with payment receipt in which A/Cs brand name, model number and serial numbers are mentioned. None of those match with the brand name, model number and serial number of the defective unit we provided.

Unacceptable Insurance practices

Very dissatisfied with my experience. I have for MONTHS been trying to get my air unit worked on using CcMCINCH Home insurance I purchased through Sam's. In April I paid the $120 service fee but unfortunately we could never agree upon a date for MHI to send someone out to repair or replace my air conditioner unit which is what I was told would happen when I brought the insurance. So I found someone else air to start work on my unit and they replaced my outside condenser. Then I thought why could I continue to pay for a home service that is not working on my problem so I called them again to come out and analyze my problem and to repair or replace my unit. This time they sent Sears (it took two weeks) out to repair or replace my unit and but the repair stated my unit was to old and that since I replaced the condenser outside they would not repair or replace my system. I STILL had the original condenser in my garage for him to see but he said that it haf to be attached to my home when he git here. I believe that MHI never intended to repair or REPLACE my unit but uses that statement to get customers to buy their insurance.

Terrible service

The service person was very rude. Demanded I pay first before even exchanging pleasantries. After payment refused to work at the pretext of presence of a mouse inside the a/c unit without even checking if the repair even required opening the unit. I ended up repairing the unit by myself just by fixing the wire on the top of the unit without having to open it. 4 days wait in hot weather and paying $100 was a complete waste. Please train your technician to be more cordial.

I'm sure that Severino is an expert in AC issues, but to report that failure on AC is because of misuse, abuse , neglect is totally absurd. He reported that AC fan blade was the issue that cause the whole unit to shake and causes the leak at the coil, because if misused, he should know better that a fan blade can only lasts from 10-16 yrs, we had this unit since we bought the house at 2009, that unit is now 16 yrs old which could cause a wear and tear on the fan blade or fan blade motor. He didn't have the right to pick and choose from his customer on who gets the warranty or not. He just needs to be truthful. As homeowners, all we know about the AC system is the thermostat, when the temp is up, you turn the thermostat down, when it's down, you turn it up, that's all. It broke one day and all we did is reported it to Choice Home Warranty, we have no clue what is going on in the unit. We didn't open the unit and try to fix it ourselves. And I believed no home owners would do that. But for him to report it to Choice Home Warranty for misuse, abuse neglect or physical damage is asinine. The sudden malfunction of the fan blade is due to wear and tear. And for an expert like him, he should know that.
