Semi annual maintenance checkup.
I generally love Sears Warranty. This time was the most frustrating experience. I was given a Saturday date originally. Wait 8am to 5pm. NO ONE CAME. Yet a I got a receipt (net zero since annual), got a form where I am supposed to sign (DID NOT) and a review to rate JOSEPH, who never came. Called, they rescheduled for the next Tuesday. Same thing, NO ONE CAME! (no receipts this time). I called and refused to hang up until my situation was acknowledged and was rescheduled for today, Friday. Wait again 8am to 5pm. I, once again, followed the truck on the map which originally said would be here at 1:49pm. Did not come until around 3:30pm. Joseph sat in his truck for a good 15 minutes while we had the garage open, and my husband was sitting and waiting for him. Joseph has been here before. This was probably the shortest time here, did not check the unit outside (maybe since a heating not AC check?, others always have) and said there were some things he couldn't get to with the attic unit, others always have. So, overall experience of waiting on phones, transferred and left hanging several times just to have to start the calls over, waiting for tech that never showed up, twice, and feeling like it was the quickest run through have affected my overall rating. Normally, I have a great experience. I am sorry to have to say this was not the case, this time.

1. Joseph was very pleasant. 2. Joseph has a good attitude. 3. Joseph apparently trusts me because he didn't go into the house to look at the filter or the thermostat. 4. This was the fastest annual check up I have ever experienced. 5. Joseph said the air conditioner is functioning well.

Although the service provider was friendly; we are unhappy with the overall customer service we received we were informed the day of service that only one AC unit in the home was covered when the whole home contract states home air conditioning system not specific on it being only one unit. When we called in however we were very specific about needing both our units serviced, the agent who assisted us in scheduling the service at no time told us anything about a coverage of only one unit nor were we ever provided information with said facts. This is really discerning being that Sears is such a big and well known company. I believe their customer service, contract agents, and writers could use some training.

My experience with the Sears whole service team has not been the best. Although the technician was pleasant, he also wasn't very informative of what the problem was and never showed up in a timely manner. My appointment was rescheduled three times consecutively with no warning after I had taken off all three days from work to be home. I did not appreciate that! In addition, I was giving no number to contact to talk to anyone and the automatic AI application was not helpful and sent me continuous loop. Overall, I would not use or recommend Sears Home Services again.

No work was done.
CHW didn't inform the technician that the work was for an in-wall A/C. The technician said he doesn't work on in-wall units. Richard said he will ask CHW to assign the work to another technician who would find a unit to fit in the wall hole. He also suggested to put a mini split AC instead.

Unknown results
Our technician was nice enough and replaced a part on the A/C unit, but unfortunately the visit ended in our entire electrical breaker box popping and now we have no power whatsoever.

Air conditioner unit
He told me he couldn't fix the problem and then he was able to fix the issue. He then proceeded to tell me the problem can return because of the wiring. I was confused with the information John provided and why he couldn't fix the issues permanently.
