Inexperienced
This is the 3rd day that we tried to get a technician out to the home. Sears really dropped the ball even though we believed them to be a reliable source. This is a rental unit, so I was not going to be on site. I never received a call with an ETA until my renter called to let me know that the guy is talking to his manager. He never gave an explanation or called me before leaving. It looked like he was fleeing the problem as he didn't know what to do. His explanation is "we don't go behind customers' repairs". It is not the case. We already had an electrician come out and troubleshoot the power lines. No issues there. I've already called and spoke to Leon from the customer service. He assured me that the diagnosis fee will be dropped within 24-48 hours. With the little trust that I have left for Sears, I am pretty sure they will screw that up too. It may not matter much to Sears, but I will have friends and family to never use Sears, and also report the issues to BBB.

Run away from this company
This experience has been horrible. I can understand and be frustrated with it not being covered by my warranty. However this has been a long process and I still don't have a working Dishwasher. I gave up on using your company because I have already waited 4 weeks to get 2 service appointments and it wasn't going to be fixed. You can never get ahold of a human for help. As for Larry his attitude was the other reason I declined service. Mistakes happen but to not offer any assistance only expect the customer to wait longer and pay more isn't good service. We're left at your mercy to properly diagnose and fix our appliances. I was left feeling like I was a burden to pay you to do your job and when I wasn't happy I was treated like I should expect this and should just buy a new dishwasher. I take good care of my home had exterminators come out the same week that damage was diagnosed. I don't appreciate how I was treated by Larry. The lack of support, and ability to get ahold of a human made everything worse. Lastly, when I finally got ahold of someone they offered little to no help and then tried to sell me home improvement services. How tone deaf and honestly I will never recommend this company and will speak to my home warranty company to end their contract with you.

Appliance Repair
Our Bosch dishwasher had suddenly stopped working. Doug said it was the control module, which was no longer available, and replacing the dishwasher was the only option. I called Bosch, who said the control module was certainly available and gave me the part number. I was able to find a Bosch service representative who came out today, and said control modules were rarely a problem. Within 2 or 3 minutes he found the problem was a loose connection in the junction box which connects the power to the dishwasher. A loose screw in the junction box caused a wire to overheat and burn out. This was replaced within 10 minutes, and the dishwasher works fine. Doug told me there was power to the dishwasher (which there evidently was not) and that the control module must be the problem. He seemed uninterested, and must not have looked in the junction box, which was easily accessible. He suggested I purchase a Whirlpool ("which is made in the USA") and gave me the name of an establishment in Superior, WI that sells them. I am not sure he was familiar with dishwasher repair. My previous experience with Sears repair was much better, but it seemed that Doug was over his head and didn't want to deal with my problem.

Dishwasher Service
Technician would not take time to run a wash cycle to see the water leak. Said he had more appointments and couldn't wait. Said he didn't see water leaking and left. I was very upset since dishwasher has been leaking for two weeks with E-15 water tap error.

Worst Home Repair Service Experience - Ever! Buyer beware!
Would give negative star rating if I could. This is my story…buyer beware Sears A & E Home Services a joint venture held by Whirlpool and Sears Holdings that performs mobile appliance repairs. What a horribly run service company. From the day I called (9/11/23) my home warranty company to the day my minor issue was repaired (10/23/23) by A&E Factory service it was a living nightmare. I waited 2 weeks from the request call for a technician to arrive. Typical 4-hour service window, 8-12p. The tech finally texted at 1:20pm to say he would arrive within the hour. He finally showed around 5:30p. After asking me for all the same info & all the same diagnosis questions I had provided both AHS/America Home Shield (warranty company American Home Shield) and the Sears factory service remote tech that scheduled the service the field tech determined that the call had been set up as a cash collect service and not a home warranty call. Seems there had been no record of the information or photos I had provided to AHS or A&E Svc to the tech's software app on his phone. Important note: I had already called the manufacturer of the double wall ovens, Bosch, who had determined with 98% certainty that it was the control module/control board. I provided this information to the on-site technician. After being on-site for 90 mins trying to sort it out and source a part for which he wasn't sure of the diagnosis – he said he had to cancel the call. Although based on the information I gave him from my call with Bosch, he thought he had a diagnosis & found the part that could likely fix the issue, he couldn't order it or complete the repair until a properly set up service call was created in his app. I would have to initiate another one the next business day with AHS to ensure it was correctly received in the A&E system as a warranty repair ticket so the customer wasn't expected to pay in cash. The next day I called AHS to convey the whole blunder on their part, to which they

Horrible!
Did not complete the job. Did not perform any work. Left without even checking in with the landlord whom was waiting for him. Refused to come back and perform duties even when landlord came over with parts. Worst repairman I've ever experienced. Should be fired. My job is not completed, my microwave is still broken and I am still waiting on someone to come back and fix it!

Bosch Refrigerator - ice maker not working.
As I am not in residence at the property, I have had no feed back as to whether or not the problem was fixed and the appliance is now making and delivering ice.
