Two appliances no repairs

Tech was nice and courteous but was unable to repair either appliance. After brief diagnosis, he said necessary parts were not available. Sears refused to waive either diagnostic fee, even though no tech was only here for about a half hour and could not repair either appliance. Sears said it would waive the fee only if we bought a warranty - which Sears already had tried to upsell to me twice after I scheduled the repairs.

Kyle was a very nice, respectful young man, but very inexperienced. His mentor who I thinks name is Nazeem after Kyle called twice asking for assistance refused to come up to assess the problem through more experienced eyes. As a result we had to reschedule through another service provider. By the way, after an hour after Kyle left, my son and I were able to pull out the refrigerator and make the the rear accessible for service. Overall hit was a very stressful experience for us.

Frig repair?

Honestly

I'm rating him low because I didn't feel comfortable about him wanting to return a part that I didn't need, which he ordered. Then, instead of allowing me to return my own parts, he took it and stated that he would return it. . He was holding it in his hand as if it had no rights to it. I have not received any messages saying that it was returned or not. I have no check and balances to review if he returned it or not. I know service people take parts and materials you buy and use them to do side jobs and make money off the materials a client paid for. I didn't feel comfortable about it and has been calling the company but only get an automated response, no person to take my call. I even went to a store location to report this but it didn't exist. I'm disappointed 😢

1 for 3 isn't bad?

Avoid this company if you can. The tech who came today would get a 5 star review but guilt by association sucks. Refrigerator broke in May. Tech came out and diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and made arrangements for them to be installed later. Later came in June and we saw the tech park in front of the house and then drive off. A few minutes later, I got an email with a picture of half my driveway saying we were not home. If he would have taken a picture of my entire driveway, you would have seen my car parked there. Lazy tech just left, didn't come to the door (doorbell cam didn't go off and kid looking out the window never saw him). It is now late July and a tech came back and replaced the parts. We actually put a sign in the front yard telling tue tech that we are home and to please stop this time. On a separate incident in February, the tech came to fix the washing machine. Said he was going to order parts and be back when they arrived. Life being life, we forgot about that promise and looked at the service ticket months later and discovered that the tech closed out the ticket saying no issues were found as soon as he left our house. He even signed the "customer signature" block on the repair ticket. Good luck trying to talk to someone live when the tech leaves without doing his job or lies about ordering washing machine parts.

Not what I expected but should have

The technician arrived diagnosed the problem as "ice buildup" around the fan. All of which we knew was the problem as it happened before in which the fan had to be replaced. Although he did not run any diagnostic test he claimed the ice build up was from the door being left open for a long period of time. That did it happen as there is an alarm that reminds you the door is open. He directed me to a YouTube video on how to correct the ice build up if it happens again which he said was to unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours. Well the same noise came back 2 days later but not as loud. I did not and will not unplug the device for 24 hours that's just ridiculous and something you shouldn't have to do for the device to operate normally.
