Dishwasher repair
It took over a month from initial contact to complete this work order. Service tech out to assess problem, two week wait for rescheduled repair. Wrong part ordered, another 2 week wait before finalizing repair. I felt the technician, was not totally confident while doing repair, and service time on premises, extremely long.

microwave repair
after arriving home i tried to use microwave and noticed several of the component buttons were not working and would like it fixed properly

Not worth it
I bought a high end GE profile induction oven a year ago. Works fine but a week ago a hot pot I was lifting off the stove slipped and fell on the control panel, shattering the glass and sending shards across the room. Even though I bought an extended warranty GE said the damage was not covered and I learned from the repairman that replacing that panel would cost me as much as buying a new stove! So I'm now looking for a new oven but definitely NOT GE!

Jim came and rang doorbell when I was home. I was outside and didn't hear the bell but did not call and marked appointment as done.

Very rude and not helpful and totally useless.
The technician was rude and unprofessional. Came in the house and stayed like 15 mins looked at the dishwasher and said he can't fix it bec nothing wrong with it. That it needs a plumber and connection to garbage disposal. It had been installed by sears about 8 years ago and working fine. He demanded more money because he " told us what the problem is even" though he would not fix it.

Kept lecturing customer on how I use dishwasher incorrectly
Instead of just coming and replacing the heating element that was used to dry the dishes the technician proceeded to lecture us on how we weren't adequately cleaning the built-in filter inside the dishwasher , pre cleaning the dishes or blocking the front of the dishwasher or not running the garbage disposal . The technician's job is to repair and fix broken equipment not lecture the customer on his views on what the appropriate and proper use of the device is. He also essentially accused us of lying when we stated we were cleaning the filter regularly but as it was left in the dirty water while we were gone bacteria and fungus grew through the filter especially since the heating element wasn't heating the water and killing stuff within it. When he came again today to install the heating element He again suggested that we were not cleaning the built-in filter even though we just re-cleaned it again. I will ensure that we never use Sears home services with my warranty service again as the technician was extremely rude and disrespectful to the customer
