Refrigerator Repair
I have used Sears Service for many years and they have been very good. For this service call I had a broken water line which has happened a few times with this fridge. Even though I told Sears what the issue was, the technician did not have the necessary tubing to make the repair on the first visit. The technician ordered some tubing which arrived a week later and on the second visit Helvettica was able to make the repair. Overall, I thought Helvettica did a good job, was very knowledgeable and had good customer skills. Only issue is that it took two trips and over two weeks to make a simple repair.

He was very friendly and courteous and spoke clearly so it was easy for me to understand what he was explaining. While he did not replace the icemaker, he explained what I should do to avoid future problems. He was efficient and didn't take long to complete the repairs, however he did require use of some of my cleaning materials and rags. Not a big deal but noteworthy. I welcome him at any future repair needs.

Donald arrived when he said he would. He worked on it for some time. Ultimately said it would take an additional person to lift the top to get to two sensors. Said he can't get one sensor. So, I declined any further service or repair. Disappointing but not Donald's fault - GE provides a bad product - it is 11 years old!

He called me around 11:30 and said he would be here in a half hour. He actually got here in less than a half hour, which was good. He replaced the fan in my fridge and everything went smoothly. Good job.

We had an appt scheduled for 8-12 with many texts confirming appt time. The website show tech should be here between 8:10 & 9:08am. There were no updates to the website until around 2:18pm saying tech was on the way. Elijah just said his schedule showed us as his 7th appt with an 8-5 window. I reminded him HE was the one who scheduled us 8-12. He didn't apologize, just said he just goes by what he's given. I asked for his dispatch # or a # I could speak to a person. He said everything is AI even for him. My rating is less about Elijah than it is about this experience overall. Elijah installed the new part. Hopefully we won't have another problem. Not at all happy with Sears customer service. There should be access to a live person.

The repair people were very professional when they showed up. Although knowing when they were going to show up was slightly confusing since I signed up for text message updates and it said that they were supposed to be there in between 12:00 and 2:30 and yet it said they're expected arrival time was 12:30. Then they did not arrive until 2:30 so just was confusing. Also it would have been great to know what to expect from the appointment in the first place! I was never told that I would need to clean out the fridge completely and that I wouldn't have use of my fridge for several days after! So all of the food in my fridge and freezer had to be thrown away! And of course it was not told to me that I wouldn't be able to use my fridge for up to two days until they were leaving from the appointment!
