My technician, Ron, did a great job. On time, knowledgable, professional. With that said, Sears Home Warranty (SHW) has done a horrible job honoring the terms of their contract. I've been waiting three (3) months for them to fix my broken Sears garage door opener, pursuant to the terms of my Sears Home Warranty. Over the last quarter of a year, I've been told at various times that they would provide parts to fix my unit. They have not. I've also been told that if parts were not available they would provide a new unit, or they would provide a cash settlement. SHW has failed to keep their word. Today, they sent Ron to repair my garage door (again), yet SHW failed to provide the parts necessary to do the job, which wasted my time (again) and Ron the technician's time. To be clear, my frustration has nothing to do with the service provided by Ron the technician. The poor service provided by Sears Home Warranty is indicative of a bloated insurance company bureaucracy in which no one appears capable of making a decision, rather than a customer service-based home warranty company.
