Failed repair!

Awful!! My dryer still isn't getting hot after Brian left! I specifically asked him if the dryer is repaired & getting hot & he said yes & left. As far as personality he was very pleasant but didn't come to my house to socialize he was supposed to repair my dryer & failed!!

Dryer rattle on the spin cycle

A technician has been out here 5 times. He replaced a motor and housing twice and rollers and felt bushing once. The last time he couldn't figure out what was wrong and told us to just buy a new dryer. So, we've paid $500 and still have a dryer that rattles on the spin cycle.

Washer still not fixed

The gasket is being rubbed off everytime the spin cycle happens. It looks like sand when I open the machine and smells like burning rubber.

Disagreeable, not helpful and hasty.

Charles was both disagreeable, rude and not helpful from the beginning of the service call. Upon his arrival I mentioned that I had a video of the problem my machine was having, and he insisted that he had to hear it with his own ears because he insinuated that the video could be falsified. After listening to the video, after several minutes of being at the service location, Charles asked not once but three times for me to place items in the dryer so he could "hear the problem for himself". After I denied this request, because I don't have any items in my home that need to be dried, he said that it wouldn't be fixed. Following that, I asked additional questions and mentioned that he needed to make an effort to contact the claims department before giving an answer; he did so. Following the phone call with the claims, which he took in his van; where I couldn't be apart of the conversation to advocate for myself, he walked back into my home without a knock on the door. Charles said they wouldn't fix it, and it wasn't going to be fixed until it was something wrong with the function of the dryer. I said that it doesn't hear evenly and mentioned that it takes an 1+ hours to dry a small load of laundry; to which he replied that is normal. I continued and said it's not normal for this machine, I am the daily user and I know the typical time it takes to dry a small load of laundry. Following this, he was again disagreeable and rude, so I asked for a phone number to speak to his supervisor to voice my concern with the operation of the company, and the poor quality service I have received from this service technician. To this, Charles said "no, there is a number on the van you can contact" and my reply was "that is an only automated number", and he replied "good, that is all you get". After this disrespectful comment, I sternly; but politely asked him to leave my property. Charles' response was the following, "fine, I'm putting you on a do not service list".

After four weeks of trying to get my dryer fixed, the technician just marked it completed. Now your customer services I have to get a reopen in American Home Shield (AHS)

Bad Experience

This review is more about the overall company experience and not neccessary from Jon, as he was the one that finally figured out the problem. It took Sears 4 trips over 3 weeks to get my dryer fixed. They misdiagnosed the problem twice and ordered incorrect parts twice as well.

Sears sucks

Overall rating

The worst experience iv ever had with a company. They ended up costing me hundreds of dollars more than it should have been and took way to may appointments. Someone from Sears will answer this saying how can we do better but they clearly don't mean it because there is no way to talk to anyone. I will never use them again.

Worst service ever!!!

I do not recommend this service network. They gave me a 8-5 window and guess what, they show up at 5pm. After diagnosing the problem, they give me an estimate that was more than the frickin dryer. They couldn't repair it they had to order parts, which means more delays . they put it back together after I declined the estimate and now it makes more noise than before. What a joke!
