Tech was great, but Sears REPAIR dont REPLACE policy sucks.
The tech was wonderful, but instead of being allowed to replace a cooktop that is 50 years old, he was required to make a part FIT that doesnt FIT and the result was a burner that wobbles and would become either another fire hazard later or result in someone being badly burned from a pot splashing because it wobbled around, let alone not all of the coils would be touching the pot... Horrible what the company expects their techs to do to avoid replacing a cooktop that is no longer made and no longer can get teh correct parts to.

Ray was my Sears service technician. He was a very knowledgeable and personable man. He diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. He returned when the parts arrived ( very quickly I might add) and he quickly installed the parts and checked that they were working correctly. He was very helpful and said if we had any more problems with this issue, that we were to call him.
