Richard looked at our ac unit and determined that it was not able to be repaired as part of our home warranty. He then said that he had the parts with him to make the repair and that would cost us 350 for the parts and about the same for the labor. Personally, I think that he was a trying to make a higher profit by denying the claim with the home warranty company. These days NOBODY comes out and then "happen" to have the necessary parts for the repair! It just doesn't add up!

Not helpful, rude, dismissive

Odaine H barely touched my unit and advised the issue was not related with the AC but more with the duct. I understand that Sears would not cover the work beyond the AC unit (duct connected to it); however, when asked for guidance on what kind of service or technician would be needed to fix it, he was dismissive, rude, grumpy and supposedly ignorant about who could help! SERIOUSLY? An AC technician who would NOT know that an AC technician would be needed to get this fixed? Thank goodness one of our maintenance guys was able to confirm that ANY AC technician would be able to fix the issue in no time. SEARS, please start focusing on training a crew that is not only sharp and knowledgeable but also at least a little helpful and courteous; we have always enjoyed your crew for years but the latest ones we've had have been very rude, uncooperative and lacked any customer service skills!

The tech did not fix the problem. My A/C works EXACTLY as it did before he arrived. The house is not cooling properly.

Service guy was nice but service wasn't great

He only looked at my outside unit not my entire unit. He said once he found it needed coolant that was probably the problem. Woke up next day to my entire unit not working at all and it STILL doing exactly what it had been doing. Nothing was solved. Would never hire sears again. Seems like they just want to charge my warranty company for easy money but don't want to be thorough and take pride in their work. Sad and unfortunate.

Bipolar Repair Tech

When the tech arrived to my home on June 28 he was nice I thought. He claimed he'd fixed the problem. However, hr said I needed an electrician. I got on any only thing hr found was the power handle to outside unit was broken. The tech return July 17th rude and had a very aggressive tone with me as if I were the problem. I was nice and cordial. I guess he was upset bc I found out he broke the shut off Val ve to the unit. I showed him and he didn't say a word. That's the reason it didn't work. It was running fine before he came on June 28th. It wasn't blowing cool air and we all know that's more than likely system needed Freon. After his attitude and actions on July 17th I didn't want him returning a third time. He chose a job that requires him to work in the hot or cold weather.

Sears home services is horrible!!!!

I made the mistake of using Sears home services to install ductless air conditioning and it has been a nightmare from day one!!! It has never properly worked and was always leaking Freon !!! Now that I signed up for a home warranty company they send a Sears technician and they put in a diagnosis that isn't covered by that company as well!!! I would never recommend Sears!!! You guys are frauds!!!

Tech: unprofessional, and rude. He refused to check the unit inside. The first thing he did was ask which side of the house the AC unit was on. He then asked me to turn the air down so he could check it outside. He said the unit wasn't low on freon which I already knew because maintenance was done and freon was added. Then he came to the conclusion that the unit must be clogged because water was in the pan. I asked if he was going to find out where the water was coming from if he was going to check out the unit and he replied no and he didn't work for me. He is the worst service technician that has ever come to my residence. I am very disappointed with the service I received and cinch company.
