Wrong diagnosis and No washer for 3 weeks

Our initial diagnosis was the washer just needed a new drain pump. We were please we did not need to replace it, and the technician set up an appointment one week later to install the part after it arrived. A week went by and the part they ordered STILL had not arrived at our home. 1) why would a common part take that long and 2) why would my next appointment not be automaticly linked to the part arriving?? I could not contact the tech, who called 10 minutes before the appointment and I told him the part was not there (which should not be news for a tracked part). He said someone would reach out to reschedule, and I got an email that I had to wait another week. Upset, I called and finally reached a person who said they were unable to contact scheduling, who do not talk directly to them or customers (absurd). He promised someone would reach out by 10pm that night with a new time. Of course, no call. I waited for the follow up appointment another week later, and then the (new) tech explained the main circuit board failed, which cannot be replaced. The pump and washer were useless, something I should have known from the first tech. We needed to wait another week to get a new washer (which I made sure not to buy from sears) I'm not sure how sears could have handled this worse. They refunded some money, but should have given it all back for failures at each opportunity. Extremely disappointing. I called sears because they should be the best. Will not make that mistake again.

Not happy

The technician showed up. The technician was rude. Never came into the house to check anything inside. Went straight to the outside unit. Replaced the capacitor and wire. The tech was here about 30-45 minutes. The unit ran for about 30 minutes after he left. Then the compressor shut down. Tried resetting it. Still does not work. Compressor in non operational. Not satisfied with the work at all. Tech did not leave a business card. Did not say that if we had any more problems to call back. Waited 7 days in extreme heat to have our HVAC repaired. Still not repaired.

Technician did not listen to the problem we had. We kept telling him the air handler is leaking. Wouldn't listen. We have called out another repairman.

Offensive, incompetent and dishonest

I've had my Amana refrigerator for 14 years and have always kept the refrigerator set at #6 and the freezer at #5; the coldest setting for each is #7. This week for the first time items at the back of each shelf froze, so I called Service Protection Advantage (formerly Assurant), with whom I've had a service contract for many years, and they scheduled an appointment with A&E. Ismer arrived today, opened the refrigerator and said the setting was too cold and that's why the items froze. I told him that couldn't be the cause of the problem, since I'd used the same setting with no problem for 14 years. He said "If a doctor tells you what your problem is do you disagree with him?" — and he would not identify himself or engage any further, and walked out of my house. I immediately called customer service at Service Protection Advantage (since I couldn't reach a live person at A&E) and the representative told me that Ismer had filed a report stating that I'd had the refrigerator set at the highest setting (not true) and that had caused the items to freeze. I am on hold right now to speak with a supervisor at Service Protection Advantage to report this incident. Ismer's behavior was incompetent, arrogant, offensive and dishonest — utterly unacceptable.

Amana Washer - not repaired

Leon arrived well within the timeframe and he was quite polite. However, he readily, albeit pleasantly voiced disagreement with the initial screener/tech's assessment, stating he didn't agree and he took the parts that had been ordered with him when he left. Leon thought it was a faulty safety latch and replaced that unit; he ran what I thought was a spin cycle, which I observed, but that was all. He closed the ticket after finishing this - he was here about 50 minutes? After he left, I started a wash, moved the dial to Bulky Load and hit start. It immediately latched and then no water started. I waited thinking it would correct, and after a few minutes the Lock light went out and the Sensing light continued to blink. I called Leon from the number I had and shared this information, thinking perhaps the water was off. He confirmed he didn't touch the water and didn't understand why that happening, voicing he believed it was a faulty power board that needs to be replaced and that he wished he hadn't closed the ticket so soon. We have to contact A&E again tomorrow to report he thought the repair was completed, but it's not and schedule a new ticket.

Refrigerator repair waste of time
