Felt Rushed and I Question the Actual Work Done

I did inform the technician that I had to run out at a specific time but to do the entire furnace tune-up and cleaning - took less than 10 minutes and was $250+. Our furnace is newer but I wouldn't engage this service again.

I was under the impression that yearly maintenance included check parts like house the inside of the machine but he only checked heating on the dryer and spinning on washer waiting all day for basically nothing 😏

Bret arrived when he said he would and did my yearly maintenance. He has been here the last few years for my maintenance appointments and so far my opener is working great.

Andrew was nice, but nothing was done - this is Sears fault!

I am incredibly frustrated with the lack of service provided by Sears Home Services, as a whole. It took over six weeks, and two appointments that they cancelled later, to get a technician out to my house to even look at my furnace. When someone finally showed up, and part of the issue was determined to be a bat had somehow flown into a pipe that lead to the inside of my furnace, the technician claims he couldn't work on the furnace. My husband and I removed the bat and cleaned the inside of the furnace, and still the technician did nothing. The reality is, the technician did not have the tool he needed to test the voltage for my furnace, and later claimed he couldn't fix anything due to the bats (they were dead and they were removed - we live in the woods by the way). Now I still need a technician to fix my furnace, and Sears claims I have used my free, included, tune-up or service call for my plan. There is almost no recourse to resolve this with Sears. I signed up for the service because years ago it was amazing. Now I am having serious second thoughts.

The work he did was good but I expected more attention to the running of my dryer. Other tech. that have been here have taken the dryer apart and checked the drum and belt etc. I asked if he was doing any of this and he said no that was too involved. He just checked for lint build up and did some vacuuming.

Rodney as a person was great. However… we did not receive a call or text before arriving at 8am, your vacuum cleaner was broken and he had to use mine. My attachments didn't allow for deep clean of appliances…appliance internally are still dusty and dirty. Had to sign so many documents that I had no clue what I was signing, had to pay upfront for services vs. waiting to pay after work was done, got no update on what was done to each appliance, did not get a part # for issue found on dryer. Given the appliances are not to a clean standard, I would like a partial refund or someone to redo this work.

Would've left dryer broken

The dryer started making this weird humming/grinding noise, which sounded like something connected to the rotating drum needed to be greased. I recorded a video of it to capture the sound. Of course when he came, the dryer ran perfectly with no noise. So I played the video for him so that he could hear the noise. He did thank me for recording it, I'll give him that. But his response after that was, "Since I'm here, I'll clean the dryer, but it's not covered under warranty." I agreed to the cleaning, to which he then proceeded to ask me if I had a vacuum, which in my opinion was unprofessional. You offer cleaning, bring your own stuff, but I let him use my little ryobi shop vac. While cleaning it, he discovered one of the rollers did need to be replaced, which he did. But the impression he gave, even if it was not his intention, was that if we didn't agree to the cleaning, he never would've taken the dryer apart and found out that a part that did need to be replaced, so he would've just left and we still would've had a broken dryer because he didn't hear the sound, just a recording of it.
