If there was a zero, it would be that. NEVER GO TO THEM! The entire experience was a complete joke! $299 for labor fee… let’s start from the beginning… first our notification was totally off, I called the number that was given, that sent me to some random contractor, then 20 min later a guy named Daniel in a sears shirt showed up. After he “diagnosed” my dryer, he told me I owed $299 fee which covered labor and the parts and diagnostic fee is supposed to go towards the part. Fast forward, After the headache and inconvenience of trying to schedule them back out, a Marc( that has a bigger ego than his size) comes in to tell me that the guy who came in before, did the order wrong and I have to pay another $395 and that is minimum, because if he “misdiagnosed” I would have to pay another $299 labor fee, plus whatever the part would be.. and that there is no way to get out of getting a full refund, because the guy who came in before, clearly was not done with his training there and Mr Marc was SO RUDE and talking like he was a supervisor, which let us know, “ he got a letter last night saying he was nominated” which if that’s your top guy that you would want representing your company, they must really be “short staffed” like every other company. I have no idea what happened to customer service or why it is so hard to communicate with an actual human but all I can say is Marc needs a people skills book, Daniel needs to go back to training and sears is a joke, go to the neighborhood app, and it’s not worth it. I paid $120 for a fake diagnostic. God Bless!

Do NOT use SEARS... it is completely automated and absolutely unreliable. I've gone a week so far with only marginal success-- appointments keep changing. Worse experience I've ever had.

UPDATE- The technician, Ronnie C., fixed what Daniel failed to do. Something as simple as not securing the washer drain filter after he removed it to vacuum up any water in the tub. That is UNPROFESSIONAL work by Daniel! Ronnie C. Was courteous and professional taking the time to listen and talk with me where Daniel barely spoke 5 words to me and departed just as quick. There are other things I noticed after Daniel left, but he has been bashed enough. BOTTOM LINE…if you use Sears Home Services for washer repair…REQUEST RONNIE C! 5 stars for Ronnie C, but ZERO stars for Daniel and the Sears Home Services customer call line! I would put ZERO stars but that isn’t an option. The technician was supposed to replace the hot and cold water valves. The parts were here waiting for him. He arrives to the wrong house and I get a text saying I’m not home..:he went to the neighbors house. Then when he does replace the parts… nothing to sign. He just leaves. I go to run a load of laundry…WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR. I also found a stray screw on the ground. I had a feeling about this technician when I first saw him…and this making my washer even worse than when he started conforms my sunny feeling about him not n owing what he is doing. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SEARS REPAIR EVER!

I bought a stove and dishwasher from Lowe’s a few years back, and paid for the Lowe’s Protection plan warranty. Lowe’s apparently outsources their warranty with ASSURANT, who outsourced it to SEARS. It has been a very bad experience. I have been without a stove/oven since September 19, 2025 and today is October the 22nd. Every time one technician comes to service my stove, they break something that requires a new part to be ordered, then they send another technician. Only deal with Sears if you’re ready to deal with the 3 stooges…and Shep! ZERO STARS….. Would not recommend!

Zero stars. At my house three times and tells my watery company the I broke a part off between last two visits when I in fact did not. Now my appliance is still broke and not covered by warranty. Do not recommend. Yall are the worst.

Service is less than good. Order wrong parts, unable to speak to service manager. Still appliance is not working correctly. Frozen eggs, 🥚 tech lies about situation with freezing in refrigerator. As he was leaving he destroyed a plant I have. Found part of my plant on ground. I will never want sears tech in my residence again.

After initial diagnosis and ordering of parts the repairman didn't show up to complete the service twice after scheduling. Once he did show up the original repairman misdiagnosed the problem and estimate doubled in cost. Throughout this process there is/was no way to reach a live person. The webpage to track status was not updated not was the automated phone line. I was given a partial refund for my troubles but the waste of time and hassle in dealing with them makes it not worth the trouble. Definitely do not recommend them or the subcontractors they use. The below "owner"response is to the AI customer service and not a human service rep.

I called my warranty company July 21st and they contacted Sears.I got a text that I would have a virtual visit ( not physical visit) on July 30th..I called Lighthouse Mechanical..Lighthouse sent a technician July 22nd to fix my air-conditioning and it only cost $162..God be the glory.

Sears Home Services Protection Warranty is terrible. The technicians are generally good but the organization and communication is very poor. Service cancellations are standard, items take weeks to months to fix while you’re strung along making payments for service that isn’t happening on any reasonable timeline. Stay away.

Scheduled an appointment from 1 to 5, no one showed. At 5:30 got an automated message that my appointment has been "rescheduled" for two days later. I wish these scammers go out of business as soon as possible.
