I signed up for a dryer repair and a washer maintenance package. The man I spoke with said the dryer assessment was going to be $49 (which would go towards the bill if I would have the work done) plus labor and parts. The washer a flat $50. The tech shows up and finds out the dryer needs new heating coils. He replaces them and then does the washer (which is a job that takes five to seven minutes to complete). He gives my wife the bill never showing her an estimate before he started the dryer. The bill he gave my wife for the dryer came to $309.78 (which had the assessment applied to it) and the washer was $53.00. The technician was in my house for a total of 16 minutes. I was expecting my bill for both appliances to be around $175.00 no more than $200.00. I feel Sears ripped us off and I know if I was there I would have never except the bill. I would have told the technician to call his boss because I wasn't paying it. We are now trying to fight the bill but it is an up hill battle since they already got paid. SEARS you left a bad taste in my mouth and because of this I will never deal with your company again (and I've got my fisrt credit with Sears back in 1968) unless you make this right.

Sears never came to fix my refrigerator 9 days without service, can't come till 3/23 , this is not acceptable!! Did not honor their contract of 24 hrs service. Had to look elsewhere for help and fixed it ourselves. Hoping they will refund my money for the part from Amazon!!!

The technician was an hour and a half late from their 4 hour service window. They took ten minutes to look at the fridge and quoted me $750 to replace the icemaker. I declined stating I could buy a new fridge for that amount. Still had to pay a $170 dollar diagnostic fee. I found the parts for under a hundred dollars and replaced the icemaker in under 2 hours myself.

I was not satisfied with this service because they were unable to complete the work but I still had to pay the $140 fee. So, now I'm out of money and still have a broken oven. This is the 2nd time that this has occurred with this company.

Terrible. Service technician came out and determined the cooling system needed to be overhauled. Told this would be a 2 man job and had to wait two weeks. Service date comes, two guys come out but one of them only services TVs so he leaves after an hour. Second guy finishes the service and now my fridge doesn't work at all. Have to wait another two weeks now to get someone out again. In the meantime I've left 3 messages for a manager to call me and have yet to hear anything from them. Terrible service. I wouldn't even give it one star but have to just to submit this.

My problem was not resolved. My technician was not able to determine 100% why my refrigerator has not been running correctly for over a month now. He feels it is the thermostat (which is what I said when I first called for service and was told by a scheduler that it wasn't and lied to about the warranty on my unit). He left me with some guidelines to look for to see if that was indeed the problem. I followed what he told me and it is the problem. I was charged over $175 for him to walk through my door and open my refrigerator so I am out that. I also set up digital thermometers in freezer and refrigerator to monitor temperatures. Called back 12/10 to make second appointment for replacement of thermostat and couldn't get a live person. My technician who came out - he was great - told me I wouldn't have to pay appointment charge again. But I don't know if the part my refrigerator needs is even in stock and I couldn't get an appointment until the 1st week of January. I have terminal cancer. It is not safe for me to have a refrigerator (only 7 years old) that is not working correctly. And I cannot go out and buy a new one - don't have the money and too sick to clear the space necessary to bring it in. I am frantic. I have no one to help me. I know there are supply problems for parts right now but it should not take 2 months to get something as essential as a fairly new refrigerator fixed. Kenmore products used to be good and reliable and Sears had a good reputation for their repair services. Clearly not anymore. What happens if on the 4th you send someone out but the part is not in stock? How much will you charge me for that visit?! This is just wrong. Your people are more interested in selling me more warranties and other services that I don't need than in fixing the problem I do have. Maybe if you could do that in a timely manner I would be interested in some of your other services. But why would I want to be jerked around some more? This is a BAD way to do business.

I purchased 4 LG appliances at Lowes on May 29, 2021. Installation was June 22, 2021. Late July was my first contact with Lowes about the following issue. I love my appliances. Approximately 6 weeks of use the paint on the inside of the microwave door began to bubble and peel. A & E Repair was sent which is the repair service through LG or Lowes. The tech came told me it's not repairable at which time I told him I didn't want it repaired I wanted a new microwave. Evidently he did not file proper reports and I have to go through the entire procedure again. They scheduled me for another visit and after changing my schedule to be home that day they texted me as I was waiting at home to cancel the visit. They informed me on that text that I would be scheduled for the next day. That was not a good time so now I'm waiting until October for a visit from a tech to verify the pictures I took of the door to order a new microwave. Microwave was purchased in May, installed mid-June, notified Lowes in July. This is a nightmare given all the phone calls I've made. It's also revealed how no one knows what the other is doing. So disappointed with A&E's lack of individual personal attention. They only communicate through general texts. Dated October 7, 2021. Well, my scheduled repair day came and went. Again I waited. The assigned time was for the hours between 10:00 - 2:00. I waited for the phone call from the tech that he was on his way. Two o'clock came but I assumed he was running late. By 4:00 I was livid! At 4:02 I received 3 text messages from the tech. One was a form showing that the pictures he took of the microwave at his last visit, that he neglected to send to LG, were sent to LG. The other 2 texts were what is normally sent after a visit...the receipt and signature page. He never called to apologize or made any attempt to contact me. I called A&E Repair service, which is actually SEARS Repair, who knew? The person who answered was polite but no one knows what happened. I'm sure on paper it looked like he showed for the visit since he filed the correct reports. Reports that he texted to me. Hopefully I will get my replacement LG microwave and it will be installed soon. I will never purchase an appliance from a company who has contracted with A&E Repair service. Horrible communication with customers. Dated November 8, 2021. My scheduled visit from A&E on November 4. 2021 which was made by LG never happened. Once again the technician did not show after the 4 hr wait. My angry call to LG finally gotten some action. After 3+ months of endless phone calls to A&E and LG customer service LG finally scheduled me with an LG repair man who surprisingly lives approximately 3 miles from me. He came to inspect the microwave, made a phone call to LG, gave me the TCC number that is needed for a replacement microwave. It seems there are so few LG in house service people across the country that they are sent to emergency calls and all other call to A&E. They should definitely re-think the company they send out to represent them. December 14, 2021. I finally have a new replacement microwave. The end!

While my technician did a good job explaining what needed to be done and gave good advice. My overall experience is a 1 and I will not recommend or refer anyone to your service. My appointment was rescheduled 3 times! I the only thing I received was empty promises. No one was proactive in communicating with me. I had to keep contacting the company. I am a dissatisfied customer. All just to learn that it would be more cost efficient to purchase a new machine rather than fix the old one. My customer experience was horrible and unexcusable.

The repair man refused to repair the oven for I made the repair too time consuming and or too complex by taking too many parts out of the oven. So, I fixed it myself.
