  1. Poor coordination of part order with installation

    Technician (Kevin) arrived as scheduled on Wednesday, one day after we placed the service request. He determined a part was needed and ordered it. The part arrived as tracked (via UPS) at 3:00 on Friday afternoon, but no technician was available to install it. So we waited an additional 3 days without hot water until Kevin was able to return on Monday. His work and his communication with us were excellent, but the poor coordination of the part's arrival with availability of a technician is not acceptable.

    The technician (Jeffrey) arrived on time and was friendly and professional. Oven was repaired same day as the scheduled appointment. Sears provided real-time notice of technician's arrival which was a major improvement from the initial diagnostic appointment.

  6. Great service that fixed a design flaw!

    We had a refrigerator door with ice dispenser that would form the ice and cause it to drop down but it kept jamming up right at the opening. Our repairman was familiar with the problem and carried with him a little extension hose that could be cut and applied so that two things that failed to touch before (to trigger the flap to open up and allow the ice to pass), would now touch and voila, system fixed. Sears should find out how to do this on all the new builds from the beginning.

  7. Challenges scheduling service

    Had to call supervisor to get service scheduled. Water was in floor and damaged laundry room. Scheduled service for over two weeks out. Explained problem and no one seem to care! I can not go two weeks without washer. Have special needs son and unable to get to laundry facility?

    Excellent service. Discovered problem and fixed it in record time. Only concern was that service was scheduled for 8-12 and tech showed up around 4:00.
