Called Sears on a Saturday for service needed on my Washing Machine - they scheduled me for Tuesday (3 days later). Got a text by their "virtual assistant" the next day (Sunday) saying they could move the appointment up a day to Monday and I agreed - got confirmation is was reschuled for Monday (the next day). Waited all day Monday to see when they would be coming, to eventually get another text saying that "per my request" (which I 100% didn't do) it was rescheduled for Thursday without any communication from Sears about why or that they would need to. Can't get in touch with any real person through their automated system to see what's going on. Absolutely poor service and I didn't even get to see the tech - just called somewhere else that more professional and communicative because this is not acceptable service.

Now the dishwasher leaks when it runs. Had another technician come and say there isn’t anything mechanically wrong but He couldn’t figure out why it’s leaking. I ran it through again after he left and it leaked again.

Don’t know what he did. But left our machine worse off. Says the machine sparked when running through the end cycle. Blamed it on our electric box. The box however is fine. And when I run the power to another box. Still no power. Attached are photos how he left the old part sitting on the floor. Notice the water on the top of the frame. The washer never spilled or dripped water when running. I suspect some water found its way onto some electrical during the repair resulting in a short. He just took his check and left. Told my wife he left the old parts.Basically left us worse off than before. Not a good look for Sears.

I scheduled a refrigerator repair, got a call from Sears when there was only an hour left in my appointment window to let me know they couldn’t make it, and it would be a week until they could reschedule. I originally scheduled the first appointment for my day off, since my husbands fourth and least fluent language is English. But I had to take a time when I was not there to help translate, so I had my son there to help, and he had Me on the phone. Even over the phone I could tell the tech was extremely Rude Condescending to my husband, even accusing him of giving him the wrong phone number to send the invoice too on purpose. It was so bad, that (I was on speaker phone at my work) my coworkers were commenting on how much of a jerk this tech was being. I don’t know if he was uncomfortable with having to deal with a black man, or if he couldn’t handle a thick accent, or if he’s just someone who thinks he’s better than someone who knows more languages than the single one he knows, But I’ll never call Sears again.

GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM TO SHOW UP TO FIX YOUR APPLIANCE AFTER YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM UPFRONT. I called to schedule my appointment on May 30th 2024 that appointment date was June 11th. The guy on the phone (clearly not in the USA) said my refrigerator would be repaired for free if it was indeed a compressor failure(common Kenmore made by LG failure). They send an email with a link to submit your appliance model number and what is wrong with it so they can have parts available to repair it faster. The tech shows up on June 11th and diagnoses it as the compressor, says it will be $600 to fix it because only the compressor part is under warranty not the labor. So I agree to fix it because the phone operator was wrong. Tech says parts are ordered and will be shipped to me and they showed up on June 14th. There were three parts, the compressor, filter drier, and service valve. The service valve was installed by the tech when he diagnosed it. The repair appointment was made for June 25th. June 25th comes and towards the end of the day still no tech so I get online to inquire through their chat to find out that no tech was dispatched because the parts were not shipped. After two chat sessions I had them convinced that I had the parts and their system was wrong so they scheduled for today July 2nd. Knowing how unreliable they are I called to verify I would see a tech today and the lady in India assured me a tech was in route. Towards the of today I get a call from sears to discuss the parts I have not received (but have). I let the lady know how happy I am with their customer service and demanded a refund since it has been a month and I still do not have a working refrigerator. She has assured me that I will get a call from the refund department but I am sure that won't happen but she told me she was able to get me another appointment quickly for July 9th (another week) but then it changed to July 11th and I got an email confirmation for my appointment on July 16th (two weeks from today). I really doubt at this point anything will get resolved without legal action. Please do yourself a favor and call somewhere else. UPDATE. Got a call this morning (July 11th) that a tech would be out today. The tech showed up and did a wonderful job. I just feel bad for these techs being the face in the field for a company with such horrible internal operations and customer service. P.S. Sears don't bother replying with please message us through Facebook crap, everyone knows you're not about customer service you're a joke.

I'm convinced this is a SCAM BUSINESS. Go to the Lansing location and you'll find an empty parking lot with an abandoned Sears building. I checked it out at around 6 PM (since their Google page says they're open till 10 PM). Call the two listed numbers and you'll hear pre-recorded messages AND they'll try to sell you LifeAlert. My fault was NOT checking the physical location nor calling them. I scheduled online. Someone came to my house saying he worked with them (which I was okay with since I thought this was a legitimate business). Told me it was going to be about $600 and I needed to wait for parts delivery. The part came and the 2nd appointment was agreed on. Then that appoint passed with noone showing up and no comment from this business. I got scammed.

The technician was very nice but did not provide all information Choice Home Warranty asked for so not I need to have another tech come out.
