The technician was worthless and the appointment was a waste of my time. The dryer only works intermittently, but it was working when he came over. Instead of trouble-shooting possible causes he said there was nothing that he could do and to call him the next time it wouldn’t start. What a difference with the technician we called on our own. Even though the dryer was working when he got here he spent about 20 minutes explaining possible reasons and solutions.

The previous technician misdiagnosed the problem with my dryer and ordered expensive parts. A different tech came out and took my dryer apart and changed out the motor and blower. The dryer would still not work after the parts replacement. And then the technician said well that’s not the problem, you need a new board. So frustrating. At that point he said the board would be almost 400.00 and it would be another week before the part came in and could be replaced. At that point I gave up and have ordered a new dryer. I don’t fault the technician as it was a different technician that misdiagnosed the problem. The other problem is that the Sears repair system does not allow you to talk to a human. It’s all AI nonsense. The system they have is terrible. I will not use this service in the future.

Ronnie came out to look at my dryer, which was kicking off early without drying the clothes completely. Ronnie looked at the exhaust coming out of the dryer, and said it expanded more than it should. He said that indicated that there was a blockage of lint in the vent. I told him I had people clean out the vent less than a week ago. He told me ‘well I only do this for a living so I know what I’m talking about’. He never turned a screw on the dryer or opened up any part of it to look at it. He left. I had a second company to come out and clean the dryer vent. So now I’ve paid for this twice and the second company got very little lint out of the dryer vent and told me that the expansion of the exhaust from the dryer to the wall was normal from his experience. I contacted Sears again because they will send someone out within 30 days for the same issue if it’s not resolved I asked for another technician not Ronnie. So who comes walking up? Ronnie. He comes in says the same thing about the exhaust. I told him the tool went all the way through the dryer vent. There’s no blockage and please open it up and look at it. He reluctantly opened up the dryer and said ‘ Well, your guy was right. The blower is stripped.’ So he figured out the charge to repair it and he gave me a quote of $574. I told him no thank you, and bought the top rated dryer on consumer reports for just $100 more. Ronnie was lazy and bordered on incompetent. I would not recommend Sears or Ronnie for anything. Please learn from my terrible experience. I paid two separate companies to clean out the vents because this professional that Ronnie says he is had no idea what he was looking at. I wish I could get my money back from Sears.

The call was for a water leak coming from air handler in the attic. He didn’t have a ladder to check. He looked in the attic with the ladder we lent him. after that he came down and began to type by on what looked like a large phone. I asked is the pan bad and he said the pan was not bad although we had placed a container under where the water was leaking thru the pan. My tenant tom and I was confused. At this point the tech began schooling us that the last techs that worked on the unit that were sent by choice home warranty did not know what they were doing. I said then what is it? I asked several times as he continued typing on his device. He finally said I’m gonna give you an estimate to repair it. I said I already paid my co pay. At that point I asked again what is the problem. He looked up and said sign this. It looked like a legal form. What is this and he finally said this is a damage waiver stating that I did no damaged. I was even more confused as to why if it wasn’t covered and he was giving me an estimate to repair why did I need to sign this legal form. I said first tell me what is the problem. He said sign this or I won’t tell you. I said tell me please. He said nope and walked out leaving the attic hatch open and the ladder he borrowed from my tenant in the hall way. I still don’t know what the problem is. I waited 10 days for this appointment. I paid my copay only to get this know it all tech acting like this with us and walked out. You may also talk to my tenant tom for he witnessed it all. I have many properties with choice home warranty policies protecting them. This was the first time I was bullied to sign something and was never told the problem. It was like he was on a power trip. He was in a personal car. Not even a work van or truck. Very unprofessional. I had no choice but to give one star. Didn’t have a button for zero.

My Frigidaire refrigerator went down in the middle of May. I have and have been in good standing with the SEARS Home protection plan when I looked at my account $100 deductible had already been taken out which I was OK with because the technician was going to be out the following day. It is now 11 June and the repair man was supposed to be here today and I just got a text message having to reschedule the appointment until 28 June. I have been without a refrigerator for a very long time and I have paid my bill to SEARS every month without fail and when I need them to Come to my house and perform a service that I have paid for I keep getting pushed to the right. Absolutely unacceptable. horrible customer service as well.

This company is ridiculous I've been without a/c for 4 days in the summer in louisiana was told the soonest appointment was 7am and that's what my appointment will be. Wrong. It is almost 5pm and no one is answering calls. Just and email say my appointment was pushed back to 6:45pm-7:45pm with no explanation. Was told technician would contact me hours ago.

Do not recommend - please read my experience below: Date: 4/29/25 Due to ongoing restrictions by ether Google or the business owner preventing me from posting or replying to the original thread, I’m submitting this update here. The response provided is entirely inaccurate. The phone number routes to an AI system that offers no meaningful assistance, and this ongoing issue has now resulted in financial loss and significant frustration. I have received no tangible support from this company to date. If I do not receive a full resolution within the next 24 hours, I will be forced to pursue legal action. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and based on the lack of service and accountability, I would never recommend this company under any circumstances. Previous review: I normally don’t leave reviews, but this experience deserves a public service announcement. From start to finish—with the exception of the technician, who was great—this was a masterclass in how not to run a service business. The AI customer service agent. A futuristic nightmare. Imagine trying to get help from a robot that’s stuck in a time loop and also hates you. Scheduling my appointment was like playing roulette. I picked a specific time. The technician arrived hours early, looked me dead in the eyes, and said, “Yeah… never trust the AI.” First red flag. Then came the part order: a nearly $500 part for my washer. I was told it would arrive that week. It didn’t. Every day afterward, I was told “maybe tomorrow.” Tomorrow never came. Calling for help was an exercise in frustration, as I was routed again and again to the AI overlord who seems to exist solely to waste time and crush spirits. And then, just when I thought we’d hit peak dysfunction—the AI randomly rescheduled my appointment to a completely incorrect time. When I tried to fix it, the system glitched and couldn’t process rescheduling… again. At this point, I feel like I’ve been in a toxic relationship with a customer service robot for two weeks, and I’m still washer-less, part-less, and patience-less. Take away: Great technician. Terrible AI. Part never came. Sanity left around day 5. Use literally any other service before resorting to this one.

Overpriced ! After spending 250$ for diagnostics for the technician to say it’s better to buy a new microphone. I would give a zero but unfortunately it’s not possible. Highway robbery

Your rep was given wrong info. He said records showed that there was nothing wrong with it. It was totally inoperative. I am I process of severing all ties with Assurant and reporting them to Better business Bureau

I called and setup a refrigerator repair. The technician arrived and asked what the problem was with the appliance. I explained then he came into my house and looked into the fridge, then asked again twice what the problem was with the appliance. I explained again. He went on to tell me that anything could be wrong with the refrigerator. He took his payment and left my home. When I called into Sears repair after the visit they offered no help or any solution for my problem. I would not recommend or use them in the future.
