The technician was personable and did great work, and I felt the service was way, way overpriced. If the diagnostic was 129 and the part was 100, I was totally shocked that I had to pay 225 dollars more on labor and the technician was here for not even an hour. 325 dollars for less than one hour of work is ridiculous. By comparison, having a plumber come in for work is only 90 dollars for an hour. Even though the Sears work was great and the technician was personable, the cost is a major deterrent to go to Sears again for another repair job.

Steven was nice and friendly. However, it took 3x to fix our dishwasher. If he had spent a few minutes after replacing parts to see if all was good, we could have had our machine sooner than later and not been ao frustrated with the process. The 2nd repair and later 3rd repair left us without a functioning machine for over a month. Not too mention we had several dishes that were ruined bc of the over heating that occurred during 2 of his visits. Thankfully we worked together when the tickets were dispatched to get to him quickly, but having to wait a week to get parts each time was very frustrating. He replaced the main control board 2x, cable harness 1x, and recirculation pump 1x. Trust me I was at the end of my rope and ready to order a new dishwasher. Be careful with your choice of dishwasher, as ours (GE) was only 2 - 3 yrs old and already broke down!

The gentleman came and put the new ice maker in very quickly and left us with te old parts to put in the garbage. He was polite and worked very fast. I have yet to be able to dispense the ice. There was ice in the bucket when he left but he did not try to dispense it. I dumped it out run hot water to melt poured hot water in the dispensing section melted everything and wiped it dry plus cleaned up all the water in the floor, the machine is just now making ice. I wish he would have checked that before he left.. I will let you know if it dispenses the ice.

We woke up to find our fridge did not work all night. Scheduled an appointment with Sears appliance repair first thing. They said it would be between 8 am to 5 pm and an adult needed to be present. We adjusted all our plans to be home. Nobody came or contacted us. We tried to contact them, and they only have an AI bot, no real person to talk to on the phone. Eventually the online booking updated to show that someone would come between 5 and 6 pm. That got pushed back even later, then eventually it got pushed to tomorrow. At that point, our food would be bad. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of communication. If a technician was not available to fix it today, we would have looked around at other companies to find someone who was. If you have an urgent repair, I do NOT recommend using Sears Appliance Repair in Idaho Falls.
