Jose Lorenzo and Wendell were very good, competent, polite, and tidy service providers. They dealt with a number of frustrating issues, but followed through to the very best of their abilities. Any frustrations experienced on our part were in no way the fault of these two service providers. I would request Jose Lorenzo, again, in a heartbeat! Jose is as good as they get! I will add, between these two, very good providers, we had to deal with a third member that reported between Wendell and Jose Lorenzo, and who I would do everything in my power to avoid. He was cocky, disparaged other technicians, and was generally unpleasant. After replacing one part, he discovered that we needed a new control panel, as well. After ordering the part he packed up to leave, leaving our washing machine disassembled with pieces left helter skelter. My husband and I spent a good 20 minutes recovering screws and trying to pull all the various pieces in one, somewhat tidy, location. If I realized he was my next service provider, I would work very hard to request he not be assigned to my case. I wish I knew his name but he never introduced himself. The caveat to this review is, while two out of the three technicians that helped with our problem we're excellent, the overall experience with Sear's home service was less than ideal. We went nearly 7 weeks and five separate tech visits before they managed to order the correct parts and have them delivered in a timely fashion. Trying to navigate the system is an adventure. While the offshore customer service agents are polite, there is NO way to speak with someone in the U.S. I requested to have a U.S. supervisor contact me. The offshore agent assured me that my request would be answered. I never received a follow-up call from anyone, on or offshore. All service dates were generated through AI, and the only time I was ever able to deal directly with anyone in the states was with the technicians that came to work on the problem. Sears might want to take a look into this, it might help explain the loss of their customer base.
