  3. Great freezer repair

Our freezer was leaking water on a daily cycle basis. It froze along the bottom of the freezer compartment and then would drip down into the refrigerator compartment. Turns out it was just a clogged drain - frozen full in the freezer. The Sears technician not only explained to me why it was happening and gave me preventative tips, but he also added a little cooper wire to help keep it from happening again. While here working on the freezer, he asked me how my other appliances were doing and gave me some tips to help prevent small ways the dishwasher was not performing ideally. I appreciated his deep knowledge of how kitchen appliances worked and interest in helping me prevent future problems.

  6. Once a big fan but not now

    Overall rating

I was a big fan of Sears repair and always recommended them but not anymore after my last experience. Sell our home and I noticed that the one burner on the gas stove was not working. Called out sears to fix. 1st repairman said, no problem but I have to order a new part (burner) for $300+. Waited about 10 days and after two calls back a 2nd repairman came out with the part. He said that to replace that burner he had to remove the other 3 good burners and would probably break them getting them off. Basically the stove was un-repairable with 3 days left to closing. I had to scramble around and buy a new stove (as good a quality or better) that was in-stock and available to install the next day. What a fiasco.
