  2. over ONE MONTH and still not repaired

    This has been a complete fiasco. After multiple miscommunications, phone calls to supervisors, texts to the alleged repairman that was unanswered - the "tech" shows up to replace the compressor. He leaves with the water line disconnected and turned off and the 2 year old refrigerator STILL not working. He also promised a receipt that would have the number I could use to file a food loss claim. Did not receive - not surprised as much of what he has said is false. There is absolutely no excuse for this. I now have yet another repairman coming today (9/19). Hopefully we will get it fixed today. If not - I expect a call from someone with some authority to get this resolved.

    We called for service on our 4 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator - LG made - (it already had a compressor when it was 1 year old) because it wasn't keeping at a safe temp when we used it. It was taking 48+ hours to get back to safe food temps when putting in groceries from the store. We have temperature data that showed this, as we installed wireless sensors that record temps at 5 minute intervals. The first technician that showed up was nice enough, he checked the temps and tested the control board voltage. Then basically say there is nothing wrong and then he left. I loaded up the groceries the next day and watched the temp rise to 55 deg F and oscillated between that and 48 deg F for over 48 hours. When the second technician came out the fridge had just reached safe temps for the first time in two days. He again checked the temps and looked at the air flow, said there was nothing wrong. I tried to show him the data and all he said was - there is nothing I can do because it is working right now, perhaps you should call us back out when it isn't working. I told him that that is not possible because it works when we aren't actually using it (letting it sit closed for days) and that scheduling a tech is a nightmare because the wait could be days. I have three young kids and we need an operational refrigerator for our health and safety. When I got upset he had the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't get upset because it was making him "feel bad." I told him to get out of my house. My husband called the scheduler and got another appointment later that day. That technician called on the way out and basically told him he wasn't obligated to come. We bought a new fridge that actually cools this weekend. Thanks for selling a product that doesn't do what it is designed to do and then refusing to fix it when it is broken. I want my money back!

    repairman called before coming so I knew when to expect him, diagnosed the problem with in 5 minutes, had a spare part on the truck, fixed it in 5 minutes. My only complaint is that th epart was about $60 but the total bill was about $350!!! Service call and labor time really added up. ( A $60 part and 10 minutes of work...)
