A tech came out Sept 26th to look at the refrigerator. He said I needed a condenser fan. $544.16 to fix it. But, he said If I purchased the Home Warranty ($49.99/month or $600/yr) I could get 50% off the total, which would be $278.00. So, I did it. I purchase the warranty. The tech ordered the part and the second tech (who seemed to be really knowledgable) come out on Oct 6th and said the compressor was the problem, not the condenser fan. So, the first tech misdiagnosed the problem. He also told me that I would have to wait until Oct 26th to order the correct part, because I have to wait 30 days for the Home Warranty to kick in. That did not make any sense, because I was not trying to claim anything on the warranty. I was just trying to get 50% off the repair. Now, I’m three weeks without a working refrigerator and I don’t see a solution anytime soon. I have spent a total of three and a half hours on the phone getting jerked in a circle where no one can help me. They can’t transfer me to a supervisor because everyone is working from home. You can’t tell me all supervisors are “not working”. I have been transferred from the Home Warranty department to the “Paid Call” department and everyone says I need to talk to the other department. When I get transferred I hear “Your approximate wait time is 72 minutes”. I have no idea how to get in touch with a supervisor or anyone person that can help me resolve my issue. Service was good and professional but he left trash in compresser area and make loud running.
