  2. Expect a long delay.

    When I contacted the Sears Protection Agreement Department that our dryer needed repair they had a service technician out in two days to check the dryer. The technician was very knowledgable and courteous. He told us the repair company required him to tell us the part would be delivered to the repair company within 7-10 business days when we would be called to set up an appointment to have the part installed. We later learned he ordered the needed part while sitting in his truck in our driveway. After waiting three weeks for a call, I called Sears and they called the repair company and said the part had not yet been delivered. Sears also gave me the repair company phone number. After another week I called the repair company and left a message on their answering machine, but never received a return call. After several days I called the repair company again, but again there was no return call so I called Sears. After a few minutes on hold I was told the repair company said the replacement part had been delivered but was damaged so needed to be reordered. I gave Sears and the repair company both my home and cell numbers, but never received a call from either, although I was told they had both tried to call several times. Hard the understand how I could have missed those calls when I was receiving calls from others on both phones. Finally got the new part installed two months after the initial service call and the dryer is working well. I would never recommend purchasing an extended protection agreement from Sears. In the future I will use a local service provider that has good reviews.

    Everything was good except the window of time of arrival. I was informed that the repairman will be here between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM that is one whole day to wait for the repairman's arrival

  5. Great experience.

    I wanted a Sears repairman to work on my Sears product, and was so glad that I did so. My repairman was prompt, courteous, efficient, and clearly experienced. Should any more issues arise with my washer or dryer, I will once again call on Sears for service.

    He was on time and introduce himself. I was a little disappointed that I didn't sign and get a print out for my records but he said I didn't get any.
