    Repair was done pursuant to a Sears Protection Agreement. We have had protection agreements with Sears for many years. In 2006, the water heater failed, Sears promptly came and replaced it. This year, the water heater started leaking on a Saturday. Called Sears, first person said that they would send someone that day. Several hours later called Sears again only to be told that no one was coming until Monday. Meanwhile water is flooding the house. Had to call a plumber to get the water turned off. No one from Sears arrived on Monday. Called Sears again and again. Hours of talking to people re-explaining the problem, being put on hold, calls being routed to other departments only to have the call dropped, no one seemed to care. The next day a technician shows up, looks at the heater and says it has to be replaced. He also said that Sears would call later that day to set up an appointment for replacement the next day. No call from Sears. Made another series of calls with the call center and the local store each saying it was the other's responsibility. After several days without hot water, an installation team arrives. They looked at the old hot water heater and said that it had been installed improperly and that they would have to install a gas turn off valve. Even though the old heater had been installed by Sears, there was an additional charge. This was definitely not the Sears that we had dealt with in the past..
