Tech was great knowledgeable personable did great job until he told me the belt that drives the blades is expensive at $50.00 so the bill is $285.07, I balked are you sure because that belt cost is cheap compared to your labor! He replied "Well that is what the code says so yea" I told him he better check again as that is ridiculous. Spent 15 minutes total inspect and replacing belt. Labor $235,07?? H did Lower bill to $185.07 better... but never again!!!! Sears writing guidelines for post states "don't mention price" ok then give me a fair price or don't postHi Gary, thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. We understand the pricing can be high for repairs and apologize.

Sears rescheduled a lawn tractor service I had for Sept 7th without informing me. I lost work that day to the tune of $120 (an 8 hour shift). I called customer service and they promised compensation (a $50 gift certificate) that they said would be -mailed to me. I have spent the last 10 days talking to customer care, customer solutions and member services and no-one seems to care stating they have no record of that promise. This is by far the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. BY the way, the tractor was purchased from Sears!!!! Please respond to explain what you intend to do. I'm totally exasperated with your customer treatment

I’m very grateful they repaired my dishwasher. It took a couple weeks because they had to order parts but it was worth the wait.

The technicians that came for my repairs were very friendly & helpful (they get 5 stars) The rating of 3 has to do with my experience w/ Sears. I was initially lead to believe that my diagnostic fee would be deducted from my repair bill but that was not the cause (although I may be receiving a refund for that based on my complaint to customer service). Even if I wasn't left with that impression, the fact that it isn't a standard to do so in itself is ridiculous. The timeliness & cost of my repair was my other frustration. I called on a Friday 5/3 and my 1st appt was scheduled for Tuesday 5/7. The technician came and knew immediately after just talking with me what the issue was (the entire compartment that contains the knob & buttons needed to be replaced) and that a part needed to be ordered. It was supposed to be delivered by the following Thurs 5/16 so the repair could be done. I ended up calling Wed 5/15 to find out when the part would be delivered and was told it was delayed so would need to delay the repair. I was told the part should be there by Friday and a technician could come out Sat 5/18 at the earliest. Being without a washer for 2 weeks was hard enough. The cost of the repair was over $630 (I could have bought a new one) and was only cut in half after I signed up for the monthly home service warranty (which I will cancel as soon as I'm able to)
