Third party installers could not install water heater because they did not bring the correct exhaust hood piping. I installed it myself. It took me an hour on the phone to refund my 375 installation fee.Bruce, our technicians should always arrive with the appropriate tools for proper installation. We regret you weren't given the assistance you deserve and hope we are able to make it up to you in the future. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Washer purchased in 2001, serviced continually by Sears, was making noise and leaking, reported that leak was most notable with large load. V1 - replaced a gear case and ordered a shaft that supports the agitator. V2 - still leaking, installed the shaft, tested OK, 2 days later it was leaking again so we scheduled a service call. V3 - diagnosed leaking hose, not on truck, tech said they would order a hose assembly to replace the leaking and similar hoses. Part delivered was the single hose. V4 - Technician installed new hose, checked others, tested and said OK. I asked if test was empty load or large load. He said small. I provided a throw rug and towels to make a full/large load. Wash started and leaked, moved to spin/drain cycle oil and water gushed to the floor. Tech cleaned up and went to his truck to call in. Came back in 30 minutes to tell me that Washer was now (3 weeks later and 4 visits) deemed "Not Economical to Repair" and that replacement assistance would call me within 2 days. Got call back on Friday, went to local Sears and bought new Washer (paid for by Maintenance agreement terms) and Dryer. Delivery could not be scheduled until Monday. Now 4 weeks after first problem report we have laundry capability again, TO LONG. We question the advisability of multiple repairs for major parts on a 14 year old Washer. We also question the use of a light short load to test a repair.
