Both glass doors should have opened the same way. They do not. The interior framing is not neat and I was told to either stain it or paint it. Both doors are also difficult to lock. I was told the correct door has been ordered... Two years ago I had Sears install a glass door in the basement, the framing was done beautifully. That door also had two toe kick locks. Is that not part of the door anymore? I was looking forward to those locks.

Ignition lockout fault 14

When running on gas it's fine, when running on the heat pump it's fine, transferring from one to the other produces an ignition lockout system fault 14. This has still to be resolved.

We purchased 3 doors (1 front interior & storm door, and 1 interior door from our bedroom to a deck). The installer's name was Aaron. He also came to do the final measurements. I noticed that he was measuring the interior door (from the bedroom to a deck) as an 'exterior' door. I mentioned it, but nothing was done. So on the day of the install, he indeed came with an incorrect door, so this added an extra day for install with another 2-3 week wait. Also as he was removing the 'old' door - he broke our hallway light globe (He did offer to pay for it, which he did). His household manners were 'rude' - He entered our home in a rude manner (not speaking, he was grumpy). His shoes were dirty & he did put any slippers over his shoes, so you guessed it - he tracked dirt during the installation. I could go on and on, but I think you get my 'drift'. We have a lot of work done to our home for improvement and he was definitely one of 'worst' installers we've had. He removed the bedroom storm door (which he was not supposed to do) and when he put it back on - the door catch was broken. He was rude to my husband about replacing the 'door catch' and threw it at him. (not good). I will say on the 'second install', he did greet me and was a little more pleasant. Prior to leaving he did offer to pay for the light globe he had broken. Overall we are pleased with the new doors. We very dissatisfied with the professionalism of the installer, Aaron.

New Windows and Installation..

From the beginning there was improper communication. The salesman, Clay, thought he was coming out for an HVAC visit. He was coming out for new windows. The salesman took measurements of the windows talked with us about what kind of windows and screens we want. When the salesman came out a second time he went over the same info and he said that someone was going to come out to measure a second time to make sure they got the measurements correctly. We were under the impression that they were going to begin work on the second visit but it was just more of the same consulting and the salesman told us about the second measurement visit. When the guy came out for the second measurement he was unaware they were doing the window sills as well. Which brings me to, the salesman said the window sills were rotted and needed replacing but the guys that came to do the work, Ervin and company, they said that the window sills were fine with the exception of the paint chipping.. So in the end we just got our windows installed. Which brings me to Ervin, who is one of the guys who came out to do the window installation. When Ervin showed me how to operate the windows, he showed me that if you close the windows too quickly the top window slides down some and we have to close the top window every time this happens. We paid thousands of dollars for windows and installation, and there is already that issue. If someone can fix it I would appreciate it. Other then that Ervin, and the crew installed the windows nicely and cleaned up very nicely. Ervin was great himself. But we are still not happy with the windows defect.

House siding. when taking off the old siding they damaged the ends my roof and didn't bother to repair it. In some places they didn't put the insulation

We had a deal with the salesman in April. We finally got our installation in late September. I think that's to long of a wait. Tried calling the salesman who sold us the windows in August, but the phone number was discontinued. I thought we were ripped off. Installer of windows and door was great. But not satisfied with overall experience. I suggested a price reduction for the delays, told me they didn't do that. I will not forward customers to them.

The Door was installed nicely and is of good quality. The Trim was supposed to be replaced and was not. There is exposed foam at bottom of door where they removed the trim and did not replace. I have called and no one will answer my calls! Not a good look for Sears!

Great door, lousy process

The installer did a great job. He completely rebuilt the door frame and installed it in about three hours. Exemplary work The door is beautiful and high quality. The months long wait for the door to arrive from Mars? Alpha Centauri? was ridiculous. The sales representative was a remarkable talker, making me feel at ease and comfortable with the process. He glossed over the fact that I would not have the door for months by quoting an inaccurate timeline. Someone came within days to measure the door officially starting the process of making the door. It was all done in a very hurry up manner which led me to believe there would be efficiency moving forward. Big lie. every other week or so, a representative would text me a progress report which was basically there has been no progress. I was originally given a date that the door would arrive to their warehouse and be installed in early to mid August. But somehow or another, the arrival kept being pushed back. I don't know if they only have one truck to service the entire United States or what but it was ridiculous. I signed the contract on June 20, the door was measured June 26 and installed September 15. You be the judge.

It was not a completely pleasant experience. I had no one to talk to contact when my materials were left outside to whether rain and wind and my project was stalled and my install dates kept changing. It was great once the installer, Max, which wasn't the original installer, finally was able to finish the project. He did an excellent job except for the bottom part of the storm door has a big gap he couldn't cover due to he wasn't given the materials to do so and it was left up to me to find something to cover the gap. Winter is closing in and now I need to find some material to cover that gap so the cold doesn't drift in.
