When appliances and other household items aren’t operating the way they should, Sears has coverage that can help with the costs associated with repairing or replacing your products.
No matter how much love you show your appliances, sometimes they need repairing. Your dishwasher might start to leak, your washing machine just doesn’t fight those stains like it should, or your freezer isn’t keeping food cold enough.
And it seems like this happens at exactly the wrong time … every time.
We understand just how frustrating this can be, which is why we’ve put together some of the most robust protection programs available.
Sears Protection Agreement FAQ
What coverage options are available?
The most comprehensive of the Sears warranties offered is the Sears Master Protection Agreement. In fact, it’s considered one of the most extensive protection agreements in the industry. Choosing this coverage helps keep your home appliances and electronics in good working order. It applies to pretty much all the large items Sears has to offer, including:
· Home appliances
· Home electronics
· Home environment
· Fitness and sporting goods equipment
· Vacuums and floor care
· Sewing machines
What exactly is covered with my Protection Agreement?
Now that you know that almost everything you buy at Sears can be covered, here is what you can expect from your protection agreement. To start, the Sears Master Protection Agreement comes with service from the Sears Blue Crew and other technicians, and provides coverage for parts and labor — with no charges for in-home service. If we cannot repair a covered product, we will replace your item with a comparable item from Sears. We even include delivery and installation setup charges, giving you complete peace of mind, knowing you won’t have out-of-pocket expenses. Plus, we offer an annual preventive maintenance call for every year of coverage to make sure your item is working at peak performance.
What if the item can’t be repaired?
If Sears determines that the item cannot be repaired, we provide a 100% replacement guarantee — which includes delivery and reinstallation. The protection agreement will even provide 25% reimbursement on non-covered parts, such as water filters. And the best part? The Sears Master Protection Agreement can be renewed and transferred.
What other coverage options are available?
The Sears Repair Protection Agreement is the perfect fit for your lawn and garden equipment. Like our Master Protection Agreement, it provides full parts and labor coverage for all repairs needed due to normal use and a 25% discount on periodic maintenance and tune-ups.
The Sears PurchaseProtect is a great fit for smaller purchases such as kitchen appliances. It provides fast resolution with a Sears gift card for the full purchase price of the merchandise. This is a much more convenient option than sending the merchandise back to the manufacturer for repair.
Sears PurchaseProtect coverage begins once the in-store return window has passed. Depending on the product, the return window can be 30, 60 or 90 days. If the item is still within this window of time, it can be returned for a refund or replacement.
How can I keep track of my coverage information?
We know that as a homeowner, sometimes it’s tough to keep track of all this information. To help keep our customers organized, Sears developed a warranty tracking system that makes it simple to determine if your purchase is covered and what that entails.
