Range Problems & Solutions

My range is not working.

The electronic control board would need to be replaced if it has failed. Power surges, bad transformers, or shorted bake elements can cause this to happen.

My range is not baking.

The oven igniter can burn out from age, possibly trip the circuit breaker, and damage the control board. It may need to be replaced.

The clock on my range is reading an error message.

The electronic control board might need to be replaced if it's incorrectly reading the information sent from other component sensors.

The top burners on my range are not working.

The surface igniters should be kept clean. Even so, they may have problems sparking, and would need to be replaced.

My range has no power.

The circuit control board would need to be replaced if it has failed. Power surges, bad transformers, or shorted bake elements can cause this to happen.


Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shouldn't Have to Call Multiple Times I had a great service repair man, but the appointment experience was horrible. I called and made an appointment time. On the day of I took the morning off from work and waited. One hour after the appointment time I called and was told that the service men were all too busy and that they rescheduled my appointment. Would have been nice to receive a call about it. Then when I was rescheduled the repair man came way before the time slot they gave me.
